It was finally the day of the auction. I had decided to turn the charity event into an auction this year since that was a good way to raise more money from wealthy people. I had to establish some requirements for the guests to be present, especially because of security, but everything seemed to work just fine.
The meeting about security was nothing more than the men discussing who was going to be in charge of what—watching a specific area of the venue, scheming tactics of evacuation, containment, and even retaliation, and making sure no one came inside with a gun or any sort of weapon.
There was a moment where they mentioned having the reinforcement of Tyler’s friends, and I frowned, having no idea what that meant. Archie looked away when I glanced at him, prying for answers, and when I tried to ask him later what that meant, he said he wasn’t able to talk about it yet since it wasn’t a closed deal.
