Do You Think I'M a Foolish? (Part 2)

Francisco's face stiffened, and he dared not bring up this matter, fearing that Young Master Yannis would hold him accountable. He gritted his teeth and said, "It was that guy, Carlos. He knows Samuel, and it was through him that Samuel bought artifacts from Ashe. This time, they must have found Samuel through Carlos again. I know Samuel well; he would definitely agree to this kind of thing without hesitation."

"Whoever dares to ruin my plans is an enemy of mine," Yannis's cold gaze shifted towards Samuel, who was by the garden pool.

Francisco struggled with a hint of reluctance. In truth, he still had some friendship left for Samuel. But the moment he thought about how he had fallen into this situation because of him, his uncertain future, and his fading conscience, he felt a cold indifference. He thought to himself: Samuel, you brought this upon yourself. What can I do about it when you've dug your own grave by yourself?

"Exit through the back door. In the short term, I don't want to see you both again," Yannis stood up, returning to the gathering, his anger from moments ago nowhere in sight as he smiled.

Francisco knew that it was nearly impossible to regain Yannis's trust. He and Luka sneaked out through the back door, leaving in disgrace. Before leaving, he cast a resentful look at Samuel, who remained oblivious to the in coming disaster. Francisco felt a sense pleasure knowing what would happend to Samuel.

Samuel, I want to see if, once you attain the same status as me, you can still maintain your innocence. When that happend, You'll probably become someone like me.

"Young Master Sabate, is today's food not to your liking? I've noticed you haven't touched anything. Do you need me to have some other dishes sent to you?" Yannis approached Mikel, who was being adored by everyone, and asked with a smile.

Mikel impatiently waved his hand, "Get lost, I want to be alone."

The people around him didn't dare to upset him and dispersed, leaving the air feeling refreshed.

"Why haven't you left yet?" Hubert, who was with Mikel, raised his head and saw that he hadn't left, and asked with surprise.

Yannis's expression stiffened, but he didn't show any discontent in his gaze towards Hubert. This man had also come from that place, though he wasn't as high ranking as Mikel. Even so, he was close in status.

if he was come from the main family, he wouldn't be afraid. But unfortunately he wasn't, and Yannis's hatred stemmed from the fact that he was not from the main family.

Yannis's pupils reflected the images of Mikel and Hubert. His hopes of earning recognition by the main family were connected to these two people.

"What's troubling you, Young Master Sabate? Why don't you tell me, maybe I can assist you," Yannis boldly said.

Before Mikel could respond, Hubert gave him a questioning look. "Can you really help Mikel?"

"Let's give it a try," Yannis's smile grew even thicker.

Hubert considered it and thought that in case this person had some connections, "Then, can you find an artificer who can repair Mikel's artifacts? His artifacts are damaged."

"Why don't you just replace them with better ones, given your status? It shouldn't be difficult," Yannis raised an eyebrow, puzzled.

"If it were easy to replace them, would we need to ask you?" Hubert's expression was full of disdain.

Looking at Hubert disdain toward himself, flames of anger flared in Yannis eyes, but he didn't dare to show it.
