If I'm The One who Give You the Note, Would You Call Me? (Part 2)

In the dim light, Amalia witnessed the asphalt road ahead suddenly rupturing from below, as if a force from beneath caused the ground to burst, hurling shards of stone in all directions, some even piercing walls and glass.

A building was relatively close to the collapsed ground.

Its foundation seemed damaged, causing the structure to thin towards its neighboring building.

With each passing moment, the angle of the tilting increased.

From the darkness, a figure dashed out, trying to support the thining building.

Despite exerting all of its strength, it couldn't stabilize the building, which ultimately collapsed against the adjacent structure. Fortunately, both buildings did not completely crumble.

Once the situation seemed temporarily under control, the figure vanished back into the darkness.

Shortly after, the sounds of a fighting emanated from the darkness.

As nearby low-rise buildings continued to collapse during the fighting, the intensity of the battle between the two individuals appeared to escalate.

Amalia observed the battle that drawing closer towards her. She wasn't the one who like to involve herself in such things. So, she turned around and want to leave but suddenly, her expression changed, and she quickly took a few steps backward.

"It's you."

Amalia stared in surprise at the man who appeared behind her. That face that had frequently appeared in her mind lately, and one she couldn't seem to forget even she want to.

"It's you," the man said the same thing again to her, and even speaking a bit earlier than her. Indicating that he still remembered her: "Why didn't you call the number I gave you before?"

Although it was dark, Amalia felt that man's face seems to be dazzling in front of her. So, she subconsciously avoiding direct eye contact with him. she knew she might get entangled, so she tried to leave promptly.

"Wait."

Amalia's pupils contracted. This was the second time he had caught her wrist, but she still didn't noticed it again!

"Let go!"

"You haven't answered my question." The man looking directly into her eyes, his bright pupils reflecting her figure.

Amalia couldn't figure out if he was pretending to be clueless. Who would call a man who they only meet once and especially after being forced to receive a note to them? Certainly not her.

"If i'm the one who give you the note, would you call me?"

"Yes." The man answered calmly.

Amalia choked for a moment, realizing she was anticipating something, hoping this inherently unconventional man would say something she wanted to hear. "Let's talk somewhere else."

"Will you tell me then?" the man asked, blinking.

Amalia found him sly. She had intended to brush him off, but she could see two people fighting nearby. Staying longer might genuinely implicated her. "Fine, I'll tell you."

"Then let's go." The man turned and pulled her along.

Not long after they left, the ground at the spot where they had been standing collapsed entirely.

Amalia glanced back, and a hint of deeper meaning flashing in her eyes.
