Chapter 59: Combat Instructor Fei Jiao (2)

The Razortail Drake had a great wound extending from it's neck to its left hind leg. The Wind Saber was clearly a tier one super spell yet it had only left the Razortail Drake on the verge of death. The vitality of an Advancing stage Commander was nothing to scoff at, albeit Fei Jiao wasn't as skilled in Wind magic as he was in the Fire element.

Yet Fire element was too destructive, the chances of collateral damage was too high. If he used a super Fire spell in the middle of the city while evacuation was still ongoing, he might just hurt the people. Jinling City was initially unable to track and deal with the every Commander level monster as they had a Single Super mage here and had to prioritise blocking the Ruler with the help of an Advanced mage Formation acting in conjunction with the Super Mage.

Fei Jiao casted another Advanced spell as a bright light appeared in his eyes and a Star Constellation beneath him. 343 stars of the light element aligned themselves at his command and struck at the Razortail Drake in numbers.

Plummeting Rays: Holy Word

Hundreds of Swords made of light magic plunged into the carapace of the Razortail Drake as it Shrieked. It vocal cords were severed next and it heart, brain and body were all pierced as it died a silent death among it's kin.

The Giant Lizard Beasts and Tyrant Lizards all scurried back after their leader has died. All lower level beasts were under the supression of higher level beasts. They could even throw themselves to death if ordered but after their leader died, things changed. They would retreat for now and find a new tribe to join.

Fei Jiao had taken down the more troublesome of the Razortail Drake for the military. It's partner was sure to go crazy. The military's goal was simple. They didn't want the Giant Lizard Beasts to improve as a species.

The Razortail Drake held a thin bloodline of dragons. If the pair continued to mate more Mutated Lizard Beasts with Dragon bloodline would be born. It wasn't simple as just a few beasts. As long as they continued to produced offspring the species were bound to be reintroduced to the dragon bloodline and improve.

More Razortail Drakes of Commander level meant the Giant Lizard species might even be capable of flight. If not for the dire circumstances the military would be happy to capture one of these alive and attempt to tame them.

Fei Jiao looked around and noticed his students accompanying a group of children towards the defensive line and nodded at them. He now needed to return to help the other two Super mages and Advanced mage Formation in holding the aggressive Ruler back.

The evacuation had to be sped up, the longer the presence of magic, human beings and monsters made a cocktail in the atmosphere, other species and tribes may be become interested in a quick snack.

The fight would then evolve to a regional war. The military wasn't keen on that. They preferred to tactically mission and exterminations over frontal combat. Even defensive warfare was only a last ditch option when it came to cities like Jinling.

Cao Guang looked at the corpse of the Razortail Drake and wondered if there was anything valuable he could bring with him. Je couldn't carry the whole Corpse. Only Forbidden Curse Space mages could make Space Bracelets with large enough storage space to store such a large creature.

There were none such mages in China, but there a few such items. He was sure the bracelet on his teacher's wrist was large enough. He could put the corpse into his pocket space entirely if he was a Super Space mage.

Cao Guang compromised and quickly tore of the creature's heart from it's literally ripped chest and some claws to bring back with him. He thrived on making money with his life on the line, that he wondered if he needed therapy!.

It was fine, it wasn't like he fought or went into situations he couldn't survive with the intention of doing so. It was just a perk of the job.

The rest of the journey went smoothly for the already traumatized students. The aura of the Razortail Drake before it's death seemed to have scared these primary mages. They struggled to walk properly for a while.

Cao Guang led the students back to the shelter after two hours of leaving it initially to save them. The journey was only five kilometres to and fro yet it took so much because they needed to careful on their way back.
