“You are angry with me.” Anurak blurted out the moment they got back home.
Ignoring him, King headed for the bedroom. Normally, he would carry the boy in or hold onto his hand. But after leaving the security room, he dropped the boy's hand and walked ahead in large strides while Anurak had to trail behind him.
Tears instantly gathered in the boy's eyes. He ran over and hugged King from the back. This was their first fight since they left the island, and it broke Anurak's heart.
“Phi, I am sorry. I didn't think much of it. I am sorry."
"You know what you did?” King raised an eyebrow at him.
"Yes. I didn't tell you everything that happened while hunting. I am sorry, Phi.”
Actually, it wasn't that he didn't want to tell King, he had completely forgotten about that incident because it was inconsequential compared to the good time they had the previous night.
