King inserted his finger into the trigger guard, placing it over Anurak's tiny finger. The boy closed his eyes, but King noticed and pinched him.

“Never take your eyes off your enemies."

Anurak opened his eyes and tears cascaded down. He sniffed and nodded at King's words.

“I am ready."

“Good boy. On the count of three. One…Two…"

“Boss knows the owners of this ranch. If you kill us, he will find you and avenge us." The boy facing Anurak's gun started ranting once King started counting.

The soft sound of a muffled gunshot pierced the air, completely unimpressive. But just ahead, the bullet pierced the man on the temple, drilling into his head. Blood spurted out like water sprinters, forcing King and Anurak to step backward.
