Chapter Three

It was evening.

Immediately they finished lunch, Matias had set out for football practice.

Amor was all alone in the house. She texted Zamar to see if he was done in the café but he texted back, saying he was a little busy.

Amor was a bit disappointed, but not everyone was as free as she was.

Since her dad and Matias would come back a little later, she decided to go for a stroll.

She locked the door and headed towards the park. Many people were seemingly having a good time in the park. She saw two young girls, chatting happily on a bench.

Amor smiled. She and Zamar also gisted like that, especially when they were in college.

The only difference was that Zamar was s boy and she, a girl.

When she thought of it then, her entire life was surrounded with boys.

Starting from her father to her brother, and then to Zamar. She made more friends in college but they weren't as close as she was with Zamar.

Zamar.

All she could think of was Zamar.

She missed him a lot. She missed his company, she missed his jokes, she missed his teases and taunts. Even though the last time she saw him was few hours ago, she missed him so much. He was her only genuine friend and companion. In fact, she had started to have feelings for him but she didn't want to be too forward as she hadn't confirmed her feelings yet.

When she reached a store, she thought of buying some ice-cream for her dad, Matias and herself. With the extra $200 she got from work today, she entered the store. It wouldn't hurt to buy some treats once in a while, would it??

She walked towards the ice-cream freezer and carefully selected an orange flavored ice-cream for Matias and a vanilla one for herself. She didn't know what her dad would want, so she got a strawberry flavored one.

She walked towards the counter to pay for the treats. The mini-bowls of ice-cream were packed inside the shopping bag for her and she was given her change.

She turned around and was about to leave, when she bumped into someone who was holding some things. The collision caused the things in both their hands to be spilled.

"Oh, sorry! ", they both said as they looked down at the mess on the floor.

Amor looked at him, surprised they both apologized at the same time.

"I'm sorry. I wasn't looking where I was going. ",Amor said, slightly bowing her head.

"No, it's my fault. I should have watched where I was going. ", the stranger apologized.

Amor smiled and knelt down to pickup her things. The stranger did same too.

She took the three bowls of ice-cream and put in her shopping bag, with the help of the stranger, and she helped him pack his own bowl of ice-cream and some other things into his bag.

When she looked up at him to say 'thank you ', she was dumbstruck.

He looked up at her with a pair of emerald green eyes which locked her in place.

The green shirt he was wearing matched his beautiful eyes. At that moment, all she could think about was his eyes.

"Thank you, miss." , the stranger finally said. His cool, angelic voice brought her back to reality. She cleared her throat, feeling embarrassed that they just stared at each other.

"No, thank you.", she said as she stood up. He stood up and gave her a warm smile. She replied with a nod and with that, he went to the counter to pay for his single bowl of ice cream and some other things.

Amor hurriedly went out of the store, shaking her head as if it would prevent her from thinking about him.

By the time she got home, the sun had already set. She entered the house to find Matias and Mariano seated in the living room.

"Hey, dad!", Amor greeted, as she hugged her father from behind.

"Princess! Where have you been?", Mariano said.

Amor sat down on the couch beside him. "Just went out to get some ice cream." She said.

"Oh, goodie!", Matias said, as he rubbed his hands in anticipation. Amor giggled at his reaction and threw him the orange flavoured ice cream.

"You are the best, sis! ", Matias said as he licked his lips.

"Dad, I didn't know what to get you. So, I got a strawberry flavoured one.", Amor said ,turning to her dad.

"It's okay, dear. As long as it's from you.", He said with a smile. After chatting for some minutes, Amor yawned and stretched. "*Yawn* Goodnight! I'm off to bed."

"Goodnight!", Matias and dad replied.

When Amor got to her room, she changed into her pyjamas and popped into her bed. She checked her phone and found a text for Zamar. 'Good night, Amor. See you tomorrow!'

Amor texted back, 'Goodnight!'

She put her phone down and picked up the ice cream beside her. She was ready to devour the vanilla flavoured ice cream when she noticed something was off.

The bowl seemed bigger than the normal mini bowls and the colour was different. When she checked the flavour, she gasped! Chocolate! She disliked chocolate a lot!

So, how could she have grabbed the wrong flavour?!

Suddenly, a thought passed her mind. Was there someone she met or... A gasp escaped her lips as her eyes widened in realization. The stranger had her ice cream and she had his! OH, NO!!
