Weeks later..

"Oh no!, tomorrow's Houses sports day, I hate to sweat; I have already told you that right?" Malvin sounded like he had been sentenced for eternity.

"Yes you did, but am personally looking forward to it, but I don't have a football boot" I said.

" Then join another sport that doesn't require a soocer cleat" Malvin suggested.

" Yh that's my plan B, but I love football than any other sport" I said.

" If you want to sweat so bad , I got three pairs of soccer cleats at home, my dad buys them for me every Christmas, but I have never tried them on before, I can give you one if you want" Malvin said

" Three? .., cool!, what brands are they?" I asked excitedly.

"I didnt take notice of the brands, like I said, I have never wore them before" Malvin said indifferently.

"Don't worry, any brand will do " I happily said.

"Okay, I will bring you one..." Malvin said but his words were cut short when a phone rang in his pocket .

"What ?;you brought a phone to school?, you know form one students aren't allowed to bring a phone to school except for the year 3 students , right "? I asked Malvin.

"Come on, it's break time" Malvin said

He answered the call.

"Hello ...Aunt Lawrence "

A minute later.

"My favourite aunt is back!"Malvin excitedly said.

" well good for you" I said.

" yeah " Malvin blurted with a big smile on his face still looking at his phone screen.

Unexpectedly, I felt a soft hand caresss and ran through my hair, instead of worry, I felt relaxed , it had to be Leticia.

" hello Jayden " she sweetly whispered into my ear.

That voice, arrhmmm😇🤤,it does things to me, almost stimulates my brain into shutting down.

She then kissed me on the head.

" Hey !,why about me?, why don't you kiss me on the head too"?? Albert asked from behind Malvin.

" Come on, your hair is as sharp and hard as a needle, maybe if you had a soft and curly hair , ..I would kiss you on the head too" Leticia said with a giggle.

"Then I better get a hair cream " Albert enivously said.

"Hahaha " we all burst out laughing.

" Come on guys let's have a seat" Malvin said point to a table and chairs nearest to us.

" Bro!, did you know that the school gives free lunch meals?" Albert asked me before he took his seat.

" Really?, I didn't know " I answered.

"Bro, these rich kids don't like to stand in the free lunch queue , even though it's already been paid for" Albert said.

"So what are you suggesting, Albie?" Leticia asked

"Guys , let's try the meal , if it's good, we can take advantage of the less queue ,moreover we get plenty food and save our pocket money , what do you think guys?" Albert proposed.

We looked at each other for a moment.

"Well , I agree with you on the saving our pocket money part" Leticia said.

" let's try it out first, but if it consists of raw,leafy, green looking veges , am out !"Malvin said

"Okay then let's go " Albert said getting up.

"Wait but.....

"If Leticia say yes, then it's an automatic yes for you too, come on let's go " Albert blurtly interrupted my speech.

I felt kinda shy.

"Wait Albie, let's hear what Jay has to say" Leticia pleaded on my behalf.

" oh ,like always " Albert blurted out.

" Julie will come looking for us, why don't we wait a little longer for her to arrive , then we go together " I said .

"Well we have 40 minutes more until break is over" Malvin said while looking at his wrist watch.

"Okay fine" Albert said and sat down with a thump.

"So Albert, have you prepared yourself for tomorrows sports events" Leticia asked trying to change the topic.

Oh yeah, I have got my sport gears ready" Albert said excitedly.

If there's one thing which could take Albert's mind off food is Girls and football, and Leticia knew that .

Leticia is an observant person, nothing really escapes her watch, so she mostly knew how to control situations,like what she did now.

"And you?, Jay" Leticia asked me.

" you know me, am forever ready" I said.

" hmm, I used to" Leticia whispered looking down at her hands.

"What?" I blurted out.

"Nothing...., I said I know" Leticia answered now looking me with a smile, even so, I knew that smile had a different meaning to it.
