Chapter 3: Is it fate make this encounter?

"Everyone, congratulations on your entrance to this high school. My name is Yamada Nodoka and I will be your home room teacher. All right, let's not wasting time and have everyone introduce themselves." The self-introduction but Suzu in her world, 'I should mind my own business, right? But why do I feel I need to talk with her? I think it's fine, right? I just go to say 'Hi' to her, it's not weird, right?' in her mind, just thinking about Rei. "Nagihara, please focus. It's your turn now." She got startled and introduce herself right away. After the students introduced themselves, they need to go to gym hall to have their entrance ceremony. "Alright, everyone lines up in the hallway. Next, entrance ceremony." 

After the entrance ceremony, students will go back to their classroom. When they already in classroom, Suzu thinks she should talk with Rei. Before she got a chance to do that, there has a few of girls in their class go to Rei and talk with her. Suzu thinks it's not her opportunity to talk with Rei right now. 

'I'm not expecting that many people will talk with me'. At that time, she really wants a quiet place that no one will talk to her. When she looked around in the class, she saw Suzu talk with other students in their class. 'I hope you will not try to talk to me, just live without me beside you. Don't waste your time for me.' 

Suzu keep sighing because she regretted that she let it go, the chance to talk with Rei. When she saw the chance, suddenly she feels scared. 'Why I got scared just wanting to talk with her? It is because of the trauma, or I'm scared Rei will be mad at me?' When Suzu in her world, Sara just being ignored by her. "What's wrong with you today? You keep sighed even right now we at your favourite dessert place." Suzu want to talk to Sara about she wants to talk with Rei. She wants to know what exactly happened in the past. "Huh? Oh! Nothing." When Suzu thinks about it, Sara will not like the idea about talk to Rei. "Nothing? But today you keep looking at Rei and spacing out. So that's you call nothing?" Suzu knows that she can't keep a secret from Sara, Sara is the type of person to catch something easily because she likes to watch people. "He-he, you got me there." Suzu explain to Sara what been thinking all day.

Rei keeps thinking about what has happened today. It's not just they attend the same school, but they're going to be a classmate. She heard someone knocked on the door, "Miss Rei, this Misha. Can I come in?" When they in America, Misha always checked her up when she feels down. "Oh Misha. Yes, come in." Misha worried about Rei all day. After Rei came back from school, Rei just sitting in her study room. "Are you okay, Miss Rei?" Silence no answer. "Today, it's harder than I expected, huh?" 

When Misha looked at Rei, she already knows the answer. After she dropped Rei off at her school, Misha went to Rei's mother company. Misha asked Yumika about Suzu and Rei, as she thought Yumika already know about that. Yumika and Suzu's mother met after a few days, they came back from America. Yumika said that when she knows about that, she started to worried how Rei will react when Rei got know that she's going to attend the same school as Suzu.

"Hm, I know it's hard for you, Miss Rei, but why don't you be friend with her?" Misha tried to convince Rei. "I think it's the time you start the new chapter. Don't you think this is your chance with her? The fate that counters you and her when you walk away from her life when you don't accept your feelings and scared at the same time, and now the day has come. The chance." Rei tries to understand what Misha said. "The chance, huh?" Misha hoped that Rei will give a second chance and try to be more honest with herself. "I just say what I saw in front of me, but that's your decision to make it. Do you want the feelings you have to come true, or just to keep it away." 

After Misha gives small advice to her, Misha left the study room. Rei gets up from the sofa, and she went to the bookshelf, she takes one of her favourite books. She looked inside the book, it's a picture of Suzu when she was in middle school entrance ceremony. The picture is the same picture Misha saw when they were in America. While looked at the picture, what Misha said to her earlier just came out in her mind. "The fate encounters us, huh." Rei agreed about what Misha said, but she thinks about the consequences if they got closer. "I will try my best to ignore you. I don't think this time will be easy if we get closer."

"Good evening, Suzuna. Can I get two chocolate cornets for take away." Suzuna always helped her parents by worked at her family bakery. The downstairs of their house is a bakery shop, upstairs is where they lived. "Good evening, Miss Mashiro. Sure, please wait for a moment." When she wrapped the bread in the paper bag, her eyes were watery. Her customer saw that Suzu cried, "Suzuna, are you okay?" Suzu confused what Miss Mashiro said, but when she touched her face, it's feels wet. She told her customer that her eyes got a dust. Miss Mashiro doesn't believe in those excuses, but she just accepted to it. After Miss Mashiro left the shop, 'I can't believe I cried without notice. When I wrapped the bread, Rei just come out from my mind. But why?" When she thinks of the reason, she remembers Rei loved the pastries that they make. 

When she in elementary school back then, she used to be a good friend with Rei and Sara until Rei suddenly change. Rei started to bullied Suzuna every day, but one day Suzuna said to Rei that she hates Rei. Rei started to change again, she stopped bullied and start to ignore Suzuna. After a few days, she stopped to go to school, and suddenly she went to the overseas with her mother. "What happened to you back then, Rei? It's maybe a weird, but I want us back like we do back then. The three of us."

"I HATE YOU, REI!!" Suzu said with anger to Rei. After she said that, Rei just walked passing her, and she said something that Suzu can hear it clearly. "Thank you, Suzu." She whispered while smiled lightly. She wants to be looked at Rei, but she suddenly disappears from her sight. She's looking for Rei everywhere while shout her name, about for a one second after she cried because she can't find her. 

She woke up from her sleep because the pain she felt in the dream. "A dream? It's been a while I don't dream about us. In the past, I'm always got a dream about us because it's so fun to play together when we were in elementary school. To think it back, there's something wrong in that dream. But I can't remember about it, what is it?" She tried to remember what happened in that dream, but she gives up because she can't remember it.
