I woke up in a novel.
i become the cannon fodder ex-wife of the ML who was hopelessly in love with him.
The character was supposed to die but now i am in her body.
LOVE! I am gonna get a divorce anyway it was a contractual marriage.
MONEY! As a genius hacker money is nothing to me.
MEN! Well they flock around me because of my beauty.
But what is this? A man keeps pestering me.
Finally i lashed out,"Who are you?" He said,"My dear wife have you forgotten about me?"

Maxwell knew his grandson very well.His grandson wasn't someone who would act on impulse.

But, when he recalled the broken door of Suzain's room.He was sure that Albert had done something regrettable on impulse.

Others might not be able to notice it but Maxwell could see the deep regret and guilt in Albert's eyes.

Albert told him how he saw Suzain walking out of Ariana's room and saw Ariana crying and the slap marks on her face.How he got so enraged that he slapped Suzain even before listening to her explanation. Also, how later he found out that he had wronged Suzain and when he went to look for her to apologize she was already gone.

Maxwell was trembling in anger after Albert finished telling him about everything that happened.

He wanted nothing but beat Albert into a pulp.

In the end, he didn't said anything and started walking out of his study.

When he was about exit from the door,he heard Albert's disappointed voice,"Aren't you going to punish me?"

Maxwell stopped and turned to look at Albert who was still kneeling with his back facing him while Ariana has just stood up.

"I am not in the position to punish you.Even if i do, the best punishment is for you is to let it be."Maxwell said heavily and left from there.

Ariana wanted to say something to Albert but decided against it as Albert was at fault in this matter and his actions were already quite over the line.

Ariana also left from there.Only Albert remained in the study still kneeling and gazing blankly ahead.

Maxwell's words echoed in his mind.

I am not in the position to punish you.

Of course, he was right.It was Suzain who got hurt by Albert.

Only Suzain had the right to punish him.

As for his punishment, letting him be is his greatest punishment.

Instead of punishing him, letting him of meant that he has no way to escape his guilt.

The more time passed . the more he would be tormented by guilt and regret.

After an unknown period of time, he left the study and went inside his room.

He picked up his phone lying on his bed and clicked on the certain someone's contact.

It was after almost three bells that the other party picked up the phone.

"Is she with you?"Albert asked with anticipation.

"No, she left just a while ago."Su Chen replied calmly but a rage was burning inside him when he recalled Suzain's swollen face and her lip torn from the left side.

If Suzain hadn't calmed him down, he would have rushed up to Old Frost Manor and beat the hell out of Albert without caning about the consequences.

Suzain saved his sister and her kindness was returned by such a viscous slap by Albert.

Just the thought of it made Su Chen's blood boil.

But, when remembered Suzain's words and his promise to her.He calmed himself down.

"You know?"Albert's half-questioning and half-approving voice came fro the other end.

"Yes"Su Chen replied affirmatively.

"you are going to avenge her?"Albert asked with certain.

"I will but only when the time is right."Su Chen replied in a firm tone.

Of course, Su Chen was going to avenge his little star but only WHEN THE TIME IS RIGHT.
