There was silence from Albert's side.
After a while he asked doubtfully,"Does she hate me?"
When he asked the question,Albert recalled the look of estrangement Suzain gave him earlier.
Unknowingly, his breathing quickened and he anxiously waited for Su Chen's answer.
After a moment,Su Chen said very clearly,"No."
Su Chen wasn't lying to comfort Albert but he was merely saying the truth.
From the time he met Suzain in this morning,there was no trace of hatred in Suzain's eyes at the mention of Albert.she looked like that she couldn't care less about him.
After along time,Su Chen added hesitatingly,"She doesn't seem to care."
A sad chuckle was heard from Albert's side.
"At least she doesn't hate me>'Albert replied in relief.
"Your path has gotten more difficult."Su Chen reminded him.
"I know."Albert said self-deprecatingly.
"I now have seconds thoughts about you."Su Chen said in a doubtful tone.
"Don;t worry.I will convince you slowly with my actions.'Albert said confidently.
Albert then hung up the phone and threw it to the side as he laid himself on the bed.
A memory not from long ago flashed in his mind as he thought that how difficult his journey to Suzain's heart has become.
Flashback
The day after which Suzain was drugged, also the day on which Suzain and Su Chen acknowledged each other as siblings.
After bidding Suzain goodbye,Su Chen was ready to set off for the company but he gestured to Albert to follow him out of the ward.
They both walked outside the ward.
Outside the ward,
Albert and Su Chen were standing facing each other.
"You are serious."Su Chen asked Albert seriously.
"I am."Albert also replied in a serious tone.
"What if she doesn't like you anymore?"Su Chen asked Albert provokingly.
How dare this man covet his little star?
He had just acknowledged her and this man wants to rob her.
No way!
He wants to pamper and dote on his little star.
There s no way he would let his man take away his little star.
Hearing Albert's provocation.Albert's lips curved up.
Who would have thought that his nerd assistant would become a sister freak after getting himself a sister?
Well!No one can help it.Who wouldn't want a cute and adorable sister like Suzain?
"I don't mind her not liking me.Anyway, i will make her fall in love with me.Albert said confidently.
Su Chen was speechless by his answer.
How could he forget that this man is huge narcissist after working for him for so many years?
Su Chen had a complicated expression on his face.
After a while, Su Chen asked seriously,"DO YOU LOVE HER?"
Albert didn't knew how to reply to Su Chen's questions as he himself was was unaware of the answer.
