CHAPTER 5: Breaking Through

"CHARRRGGGE!" shouted Prince Regent. On his black horse he led the remaining of his soldiers towards the enemies.

Rushing, Prince Regent and his army went flying through the first, second, and third flank, destroying the fourth flank. They annihilated anyone who stood in their way. Soon they were fighting off Emperor Lucas's last defense. His fifth flank.

"FIREBALL!" exclaimed Rosie.

The Phoenix's fire ball went flying at the enemies soldiers. Making them run everywhere. Some of them were panicking as the fire burned through their clothes. Some were screeching in pain from the burns.

As her phoenix was flying in the sky, she noticed her grandfather. "Grandfather!" shouted Rosie. She noticed her grandfather being tied up by the enemy. He was being held by a pole. "Lower yourself down. I need to get to him quickly."

"Alright, Princess," said the phoenix. The phoenix circle above the Emperor's camp site. Then Rosie changed back to her original physical form and floated down to the ground. Her phoenix's flame was still surrounding her.

"Get her!" shouted Emperor Lucas.

Rosie dodged them with her magic.

"What? She knows marital arts too?" questioned Emperor Lucas.

Prince Regent noticed that the phoenix have disappeared from the sky. Down on the ground stood a woman. He think it was Elisa as she was standing beautifully among the crowd. "Save Elisa," shouted Prince Regent.

"Yes, Prince Regent," shouted Commander Wang.

They all killed half of the fifth flank's defense and Prince Regent looked around and saw Emperor Lucas. "Follow me. I got a score to settle with the Emperor," stated Prince Regent.

The rest of his soldiers followed him.

"Return," said Rosie. Her phoenix returned back into her space ring.

"Oh. Interesting. You got a space ring too," said Emperor Lucas. He smirked handsomely at her. "I heard those are rather rare now."

"Grandfather!" shouted Rosie. "Grandfather!"

"Stop her!" shouted Emperor Lucas.

Rosie was fighting her way to get to her grandfather. She was using her magic to push back her enemies.

Emperor Lucas was observing her fighting skills. "She's alright. Without her magic she wouldn't be able to make it through my men," he whispers.

Startled, Rosie's Grandfather awoken to the sound of her voice. "Rosie? Rosie!"

"I'm here! I'm here!" Rosie fought off the last man and climbed up the stairs to her grandfather.

"Rosie? Rosie! Where are you?" panicked Rosie's grandfather.

"I'm here. I'm here Grandfather!" Rosie was waving her hands, but he couldn't see her because of the blood in his eyes.

"Rosie what are you doing here!"

"I'm here to save you!"

"Get back! Get back I command you."

"No. I'm here to save you."

"No. It's too dangerous. You can't be here child!"

Rosie summoned up a power ball and blasted the enemies soldiers away. She summoned a shield. "Protection," she chanted.

"Rosie… Rosie," said her grandfather. He was frantically looking for her.

"Grandfather Bob. I'm here. Your granddaughter's here."

"Oh. Rosie. Oh thank god you're alive. Are you hurt? Are you okay?"

"Yes. I'm fine."

"How did you get here?"

"I-I-I-" Rosie bit her lower bottom lip.

Grandfather Bob gasped. "Did you summon it?"

"Yes. Yes, I did."

"Why? Why child!"

"I did it so I can save you. This was the only way. I have to take you back home."

Her grandfather started crying.

"Please, don't be mad."

"Oh, my dear child."

"Please don't abandon me."

"Oh, my dear Rosie."

"Don't leave me."

"Child, no one lives forever."

"Grandfather, please don't leave me behind."

"Rosie, my precious granddaughter."

They both started crying and weeping.

"Get the girl. I want her alive and unharmed," shouted Emperor Lucas.

Snapping from their little reunion, Grandfather bob said, "Quickly, untie me. Hurry."

Rosie wiping her tears, quickly untied him and the rest of the captives. She summoned a teleportation portal and teleported the captives back to camp.

"Come on, Grandfather bob." Rosie was holding onto his wrinkled hands.

"No. We cannot," said Grandfather Bob.

"What? Why?"

"Sealed your teleportation portal now."

Rosie closed her teleportation.

"Rosie, listen to me."

"Yes."

Her grandfather was sweating with worry.

"What is it Grandfather Bob?"

"We cannot go back. You have revealed yourself. If we go back, they will capture you and take you back alive. Who knows what horrible things they will do to you."

"What?" gasped Rosie.

"I told you. I told you never to use your power, for fear, many will used you for their evil doings."

Rosie shook her head. "But I got my magic. I'm the most powerful of them all. I can protect us."

"Rosie, I know you are a powerful phoenix, but you must not let yourself be capture at all costs. Especially men."

"I know grandfather."

"Let's go back. Let's return home."

"But grandfather if you go missing, wouldn't they know it's you?"

"I went under a false alias they won't know it's me."

"Alright."

"Hurry. Let's run before they come."

Rosie summoned her white horse. "Shadow, come here quickly."

Shadow ran to her.

"Take grandfather back home."

Shadow nodded.

"What about you princess?" asked Shadow.

"I will come."

"What?"

"Grandfather, I will find my way home."

"No. No, you can't Rosie. We can ride together," ushered Rosie's grandfather.

"We're going to be too heavy," said Rosie.

"Then I stay, you leave."

"No. Never."

"You listen to me Rosie. I'm old. I have lived a full life-"

"I'm sorry, Grandfather." Rosie summoned a sleeping spell and put him to sleep.

"Princess," said Shadow.

"Quickly, take him away."

"Alright."

"Go. Now!"

"Take care of yourself."

"Yes, I will."

Shadow ran fast and swiftly away from the enemies fortress.
