a massive scale, involving credit cards, property, banking.
As the recent Banking crisis clearly shows, the World is
vulnerable to these flaws, using the instant responses of
the internet to destabilise the whole system, and through
it, us. The governments of the World explained it all away
as just market forces, but then, they would say that,
wouldn't they? In reality, as shocking as it was, one man
orchestrated our downfall.. For those of us who want to

The flickering screens of the rows and rows of computer monitors were frantic with activity; this in itself was nothing unusual, but the level of cash withdrawals had caused at least one computer operator to gasp with astonishment. Johnny Stein was sharper than most, and when he saw the waves of activity, he didn’t hesitate. Within moments, his Controller was by his side. 


“What is it Johnny?” she asked, gazing anxiously over his shoulder. 


“These cash transactions taking place - they’re way above the norm for this time section” said Johnny, running the program back so his controller could see what he’d observed. He didn’t really have to. The screens were still alive with the same level of activity. 


Denise, his controller, patted Johnny appreciatively on the shoulder.
