I'll let it all out now

Anna's face stiffened. She pinched her cheeks hard, wanting to wake up from this seemingly horrible nightmare but nothing happened, meaning all this was real.

"You can't be serious. You said you loved only me."

"Yes I loved you at that time but human feelings change. Now, I love Abi." He declared.

"Since when?" She asked with a grim expression.

"A few months ago." He answered and she kept quiet for a while.

"So you've been fooling me?" She asked but he didn't respond. She started crying silently. "After everything we've been through, you said you'd never lie, so why… Why were you lying to me? I gave you my heart, my trust and everything inside of me." She touched her chest. Her heart was beating rapidly. "You said you'd never lie, why did you lie to me? You made a fool out of me."

"It wasn't intentional. I just didn't know how to tell you. I didn't want to hurt your feelings back then."

"Then why is it now appropriate to tell me?" She snapped. "Can't you see what you're doing? You're breaking me in pieces. Gosh, I should have known. My sister is so talented and beautiful. I feel so stupid but what reason do I have to let go?" She looked him in the eye. "Can't I still linger around you? Even if you love her now, I still love you so can't I just stick to you?"

"No, Anna. It's for your own good." He said and bit down on his lip. 'They'll just hurt you more.' He thought. "Let's not see each other from now on." He turned to leave.

"Logan!" She called and he looked back. "I don't think I can forget you. I'll be a goner, useless and void. I'll be wasted. Please, don't leave me." She pleaded with the tears rolling down her cheeks freely.

"There's nothing else I can do about it." He said but she still wanted to hold on to her little faith.

She stood up and walked up her feeble legs towards him until she was just a foot away. She suddenly kissed him. At first he kissed her back but then stopped and shoved her away.

"Consider that my farewell to you." He said.

"Logan!" He stopped. "If you walk out that door, there's no turning back." She said and he clenched his fists. He was very reluctant to just leave her but he had to.

Abigail, who had been waiting outside suddenly came inside and saw her sister in a messy state. She guessed he had already done it and hooked her arms in his with a smile. All she wanted to do was rub it in.

"Bear bear, we still have a movie to watch. If we waste more time, we'll miss it." Abi said, running her body against his arm.

"Then let's go." He said not wanting to look back at Anna's painful pitiful state.

"Logan!" She called one last time but he simply threw her a glance over his shoulder and sighed before walking out the door with Abi grinning at her. She mouthed 'I won!'

Anna didn't want to give up. She called, texted, emailed, all the possible communication methods but Logan didn't respond. She lost all hope and decided to just let go. She left Australia and went to stay with her aunts from her father's side of the family, Miley, Mary, Matilda and Mia. She changed her name thereafter and gradually got over him.

Naomi concluded the story and wiped the bit of tears that was in her face. She looked at Pete. He had this pitiful and sad expression.

"It hurts the most because I don't really know the cause. Maybe I shouldn't have cried when he said it was all over but I did. And it kills me the most to know that I still care about it. I still care about what happened."

"Naomi, the best way to get over this feeling is to confront it." Pete said and she looked at him surprised. "It's hard, I know, but some feelings are easy to let go when you just let it out." He added.

"I can't. I thought I got over it but seeing him now, I..."

"And that's why you should confront him. Tell him whatever you want to tell him and then show him you can do without him." His expression had suddenly turned fierce and serious. "Show him that you've been doing great without him."

Naomi admired Pete. The things he said were enough to pick her up and go. She looked into his eyes and smiled. She somehow found peace in those dark and expressionless eyes. It was weird but she liked it.

"No girl deserves to be treated the way he treated you. He went too far and if I were given the opportunity, I'd treat you better." He said with so much seriousness. She looked at him surprised. Did he realize what he just said?

Logan suddenly returned with Abi. It looked like what they wanted to say was urgent and it couldn't wait. Naomi turned to see them approaching and frowned. She looked at Pete.

"You're right. I'll let it all out now!" She said to him and got up to face them.

"Ah, Anna, I didn't think you'd go to this extreme just to gain attention." Abi began and Naomi wondered what she was talking about. "I just found out that you were the only girl in this school. Isn't that shameless? You should've finished highschool by now but here you are, what do you think of your life?"

"I think it's great." Naomi said, smiling widely. "Maybe you secretly envy my life now but if you don't then just stay out of it. I already had enough trouble to kick you out."

"You..."

"Anna, you have such a sharp mouth now, do you forget how you hid behind Pete just now?" Logan asked, getting in-between them.

"I didn't forget. And I also didn't forget how you held and kissed me in the past." She suddenly mentioned this and it shocked him. "Do you know? After that day, I always found myself wondering if you were thinking about me. 'Is she alright all alone?' I wondered if you tried to call but maybe you just couldn't find your phone. Did I ever cross your thoughts at times? Your name was all over mine and I couldn't control myself."

She confessed these things, not minding the aftermath. She wasn't going to let her emotions get the best of her at this moment. But she let her tears fall.

"Don't look down on me. I'm not crying because you left me all alone, I'm just crying cause I couldn't escape what could have been." She suddenly smiled and cleaned her tears. "I'm grateful you set me free. I feel so much better."
