Section 2: Chapter 5

Section 3. Let's see how this goes. So, me and Mathias had been venturing through the ruins of the Human—Monster war, note be had: we consider humans monsters now. However, after — seeing the ruins of the war, we realized that we couldn't make our base in a place where so much blood — shed had occurred, but where-else? Adam coughed behind us. He, must have seen our hands intertwining, and caught us out. Pesky brat.

Nevermind. I haven't planned doing anything I said I had done later. But I will. Because, it happened. Whatever, happened between me and Adam ended long—after.

"Damn, what's that stench," said Adam, he clenched his nose. Apparently, at the stench of rotting bodies. But, there's nothing here. "Adam, what's wrong, I asked."

"There's something there," he pointed; somewhere, in the distance a rock had fallen—down.

"Creature!" shouted Phoenix, as he leapt to the foray— swinging, his gun, at the obscene white mess— of an abombination between a reptile and an— "octopus".

"Level 3..." shouted Mathias.

There were three levels. One, for the level's one, two and three. Three— the highest, one is the lowest, and, two the in—between.

Level three— was the highest category. "Fall back!" I shouted. Adam, it was directed at Adam. He looked at me one last time, before he perished beneath the creature's claws.

I readied my whips, made/charged with psionic energy. I threw it at the Kakuja, and it immediately trampled underneath it's own weight.

My whips could only hold for so long. Not all survivors of the first—attack make it out of the cave alive. "Phoenix, get Adam."

I, shouted. Phoenix, was immediately, thrown to the side: where, he collided with a wall. I gasped— and shouted once more, "fall, back!"

All the rookies came behind me, those who could fight in range threw knives, and pitch—forks which they generated from their system—windows. A variant of Driven's powers, actually, a complete deviation but a communicable species none—the—less.

"What, the hell is going on!" I shouted.
