Section 2: Chapter 6: Mathias

I ran towards the creature, readied with my whips and arrows. I, held no bow. However, my strength empowered by my illusions would be able to save me, albeit with a wreckage to a majority of my vitals. But, hopefully, I'll be able to save others, as well. Most people think, that illusions are just that. But, it is the production of energy, same with other powers. For example, Alisha's lightning would be able to grant her— extreme powers, however, she was only a second—in—command, had she listened, she might had over—taken me with her connection to "Driven".

However, my powers were able to extend for over a mile, specialized.

Alisha, likes to keep it even.

I combated the creature, making sure to takedown it's guard, however it was proving futile. The creature moved with a fluid motion— before I realized a spec on the back of it's neck. A symbol, the anti—Driven, or anti—God.

There was a god of this world, or, the current—world. When the monsters arrived, it was the sign that the god had been defeated. I still pray, and worship, the creator of the system— Yahweh, had long deserted us. Or, we were God's messengers.

The creature, drated to—and—fro, it's lithe body making 'soft'—impacts on the ground. The way it's body moved, reminded me of a creature from the movie, I watched before the apocalypse. Before, retrospectively speaking, the whole world went to shit.

I — gritted my teeth. This creature, was not going to get the best of me. I liked it, fighting. Kept it hidden, from Alisha who was a war—addict. Nevertheless, that's what I loved about her; she was the exposure of myself to the world. The "real me", an embrace of my true self's exposure to the world. By being with her, I could self—realize myself, once more. I loved fighting, that's how we first met. We met, in an abandoned city filled with monsters. I was one of the more earlier—returnees from the simulation system. I had spent, a few months fighting them on my own. Raking up experience with both my spells and knowledge of the monsters. I created a few on my own, and was able (to) mentally categorize them into compartments where I could resurrect them when needed.

The monster bit into my shoulder.

"Augh." I screamed. Memories, of my past came flooding into me, me and my daughter. And, at that moment I realized I had lost. But, I could do something about it. Like, that time with my wife. I will not fail, this moment.

"Level 4!" shouted Mathias, as he let out a blood—curdling scream.

Chomp.
