"So you found a protection spell, then?" Boxy asked early the next morning in Sunray's garage.

"Yep, I think so. It has a few requirements, though, like it has to be damp. It also has to be done outside as close to the witching hour, or midnight, as possible. when the moon is half covered by clouds. Oh, and I have to be holding a rainbow."

"A rainbow?" Boxy shook his head, making his striped railroad cap wobble back and forth. "How do you plan on holding one of those?"

I sighed and rubbed my forehead, realizing too late that my hands were covered in motor oil. This Mazda I'd been working on had been a gusher due to a worn-out filter. "Well, do you happen to have any leprechaun friends?"

"Nope, I'm fresh out of leprechaun friends. I do have some clean handkerchief friends though." Smiling, he tossed me a clean white one.
