THE night air was brisk and fresh as it blew past the stray hairs on Rowan’s face. The night sky was dark, illuminated by only the moon and stars. The ground beneath his feet reminded him of where he was, the entrance to the rebel cave. Rowan had come to know that like every other mountain, stream, and valley in the Sage Region, this mountain had a name: Basil Mountain. A large mountain within which the rebels had found a cave to inhabit.
