NOLAN, Kai, Enid, and Ezra were riding with haste toward Basil Mountain. They crossed the border two days ago, only stopping to let the horses feed and rest for several hours before riding again. Each passing day only added more stress on their shoulders and Nolan was getting agitated. He had lost his temper with Ezra the previous day when she had told him the horses needed to rest. He apologised, of course, to which she told him she understood his frustration, but they had to keep their heads if they wanted to save Nyla successfully. Rowan was a mischievous boy, he surely would have a few tricks up his sleeve if they found him.
Nolan was riding ahead of the group when a green wave arced across the sky. The horses skidded to a stop and jumped, kicking at the air, as the wave hit them.
“What was that?” Ezra asked as her horse settled down.
“Rowan merged the sphere,” Kai answered.
