Epicness: The Wait

Outside the dungeon

At the same when the Boss Minotaur had appeared, Dragon Slayer, the Guild Master of the 'Dragon Slayers' guild, was in a meeting with the Guild Master of the Immortal Guild, the Guild Master of the Royal Knights, and Sera, the Guild Master of One Guild.

All of them were sitting on chairs, and there was a large round table in the middle of the room.

But, Sera hadn't come to the meeting to talk about the dungeon.

She was late.

It was the first time in history, that she was late for a meeting.

But, it was for a good reason.

At least, for her, it was.

She had been late because she had been standing in the same place where the Desert's Hell Dungeon was.

It was because, she was waiting for Rael to emerge from the dungeon, and tell her that he was alright.

She was worried.

She was worried about him.

She didn't know how strong the monsters and creatures were inside the dungeon, and she was concerned.

She didn't want him to get hurt.

And, she wanted him to be safe.

But, he hadn't returned.

It had gotten dark, and she was still waiting for him.

She kept on standing there, looking at the spot where the entrance of the dungeon was supposed to be, and she didn't move a single step.

She was worried, and her heart was filled with anxiety.

'Where is he? What is he doing? Is he okay?'

'I want to see him, I want to hear his voice, I want to hug him, and feel his warmth.'

Her mind was filled with thoughts of him, and her heartbeat quickened.

She had fallen in love with him.

She loved him.

She had fallen in love with someone for the first time.

And, the very same person, was fighting against monsters and creatures.

Alone.

Without any help.

In a dangerous place.

That's why, she was worried.

She wanted to help him and protect him.

But, she couldn't.

There was no way for her to open the dungeon.

And, no one could enter it after it had been closed.

Not even her.

So, she stood there, waiting for him to return, and worrying about him.

Her expression was grim, and her hands were clenched into fists.

She was angry at herself, and she was blaming herself.

Because she was the one who had pushed him to do this.

"Are you okay, Miss Sera?"

"Yes, I am fine, Leo."

Sera nodded her head and answered.

Leo was standing behind her, and he was watching her with a worried expression.

"Are you sure, Miss Sera?"

"Yes, I am sure."

"Okay, Miss Sera. I will stand here with you until Mr. Rael returns. So, please don't worry. Mr. Rael will be alright."

"Thank you, Leo."

"You're welcome, Miss Sera."

Leo smiled and replied.

But, his words had no effect on her.

Her mind was filled with thoughts of him, and her worries wouldn't stop.

And, her heart was filled with emotions of longing and loneliness.

It was unbearable.

She was frustrated, and her patience was running low. And just then Leo's phone rang.

It was an alarm, a reminder, for the meeting.

'Shit,' he cursed inwardly and gritted his teeth.

"Miss Sera, we have to go to the meeting. It's getting late, and it will be bad if we are late," Leo said, and his expression was grim.

"I know."

She sighed, and her shoulders slumped.

"But, I don't want to leave. I want to stay here, and wait for Rael," she stated, her voice was quiet, and her gaze was fixed on the ground.

"So, please, tell them that I won't be able to attend the meeting, and apologize for me."

She didn't want to go, and she didn't want to leave.

"But, Miss Sera."

Leo was reluctant, and his expression was conflicted.

"Leo, just do what I told you, please." There was a hint of sadness in her tone.

"Okay, Miss Sera," he said, and he called the Dragon Slayer's assistant and asked her to tell the Guild Masters that Sera wouldn't be able to attend the meeting.

Afterward, he hung up the call, and put the phone back in his pocket.

"It is done, Miss Sera," he informed, and his expression was troubled.

"Thank you, Leo."

"You're welcome, Miss Sera." Leo nodded and replied.

It had gotten even darker.

The temperature had dropped significantly.

And, the cold wind had started blowing.

Sera was shivering, and her clothes were fluttering in the wind.

But, she didn't move, nor, did she show any intention of leaving.

Leo was standing behind her, and he was watching her with concern.

'I wonder what Mr. Rael means to Miss Sera.'

'Why is she so worried about him?'

'What is going on between them?'

He was curious.

And, he wanted to ask her, but, he knew that she wouldn't tell him.

She was hiding her feelings and her emotions.

She was trying to keep them under control, and not let anyone know about them.

He had noticed that.

She was a strong woman and a powerful figure.

He had never seen her like this.

She would always act in a cool and calm manner.

But, this time, she was different.

This time, her expression was serious, and her mood was heavy.

It was like she was in a trance.

'Is this what people call "being in love"?'

He was wondering, and he was curious.

'She, the Guild Master of one of the strongest guilds, One Guild, and one of the only ten SSS-rank Players in the whole world, has fallen in love.'

'With Mr. Rael.'

He had a hard time believing it.

It was a crazy thought.

He never thought that the woman, who had always turned down every offer to have a partner and was rumored to have no interest in men, would fall in love with someone.

'At last, Miss Sera found her true love.'

'It must have been fate.'

'A fated encounter, a fated meeting, and a fated love.'

He smiled and his eyes were filled with happiness.

'I am so happy for her.'

He was glad.

He was glad that his master, his friend, and the one who had given him a second chance, had found her happiness.

And, that her heart was finally free.

But, then, suddenly, a thought struck him.

'Wait.'

'If she fell in love with Mr. Rael, then what does that mean for him?'

He thought, and his expression changed.

'He is very handsome, and has a great personality.'

'That means, there will be many women trying to approach him.'

'He is going to be popular.'

'The women will be all over him.'

He thought and his expression became serious.

'That is going to be a problem.'

He didn't know what to do, and he was feeling helpless.

'Miss Sera will probably kill them.'

'If they even try to touch Mr. Rael, or flirt with him, then they will die.'

'I need to prevent this from happening.'

He decided, and his face was filled with determination.

"Leo," He heard Sera's voice calling him, and he looked at her.

"Yes, Miss Sera."

"Is there a way to open the dungeon, and enter it?" She asked, her voice was low, and her eyes were filled with sorrow.

"What?"

Leo's eyes widened, and he was dumbfounded.

"Are you saying that you want to go in the dungeon?"

"Yes, I do." Sera nodded, and her eyes were full of hope.

"I have heard the Divine Extractor can create, control, and destroy the dungeons," she explained, and her eyes were filled with a strong determination.

"Yeah, but, we don't know his whereabouts. He didn't even give you his number when you two met. So, how can you contact him?" Leo asked, his voice was weak, and his face was pale.

"Even if we try to find him, it will take a lot of time. And, he may not even answer. He is a very mysterious man. There are only three people in the whole world, who know his true identity. So, it is impossib—"

"30 minutes." Before Leo could finish, Sera interrupted him.

"What?"

"I give you 30 minutes." Her tone was firm, and her gaze was locked on the spot where the dungeon was.

"To find the Divine Extractor," she added, "I don't care what you do. Put it on the internet, News, or anything. But, find him. I need him here within 30 minutes," she continued, her voice was filled with authority, and her aura was fierce.

"Miss Sera, this is too much. You know it is impossible. Even if we did that, he won't answer," Leo stated, and his voice was full of fear.

"Do it, Leo," her tone was harsh, and her eyes were filled with desperation.

"But, Miss Sera. Even if we do that, it will not help. He will not come."

"He will," she countered, and her voice was resolute.

"Huh?"

"He will," she repeated, and her voice was filled with certainty.

"How can you be so sure?"

"Because he will," she replied, and her eyes were shining with determination.

"Huh?"

Leo was confused.

'How can she be so sure?'

'What makes her so confident that he will answer?'

'And, even if he answers, will he actually come?'

'Will he really come here, within 30 minutes?'

His mind was filled with questions, and he didn't know what to do.

"Leo."

"Yes, Miss Sera."

"Do you need me to tell you what you have to do?" She asked, her tone was icy, and her voice was low.

"No, I understand, Miss Sera. I will do it." He said, and he took his phone out.

"Good," Sera stated, and she closed her eyes.

'Please, wait for me, Rael. I am coming.'
