Epicness: Flickering Darkness

Lights.

Tube lights.

Buzz!

Buzzz!

Buzzzz!

Those were the only source of light, but, even they were struggling to shine, flickering to death and life uncontrollably.

One time the marble floor is lit up with reflecting lights from them, and the next moment it is shrouded in darkness.

Moreover, there was not a single sound, the whole building was deathly silent.

Except...

Buzzz!

Buzzz!

Buzzzzz!

...the light tubes, which were hanging from the ceiling, were the only things that were moving.

They were swaying from side to side, back and forth, like a pendulum.

The bulbs were not only moving but also were creating sounds with their continuous and rapid flickers.

"Ha," A sigh.

A tired sigh escaped from a pair of lips, a man's pair of lips.

"You, you are the only one left. Are you willing to tell me where is that bastard or do you also wish to be like them?" a voice asked, a familiar voice.

The voice belonged to Rael, it was as if he was asking a question, but, at the same time, he was threatening.

Around him was complete darkness, no one could see or tell where Rael was standing.

However, the smell of iron was strong, and the scent of fresh blood was thick.

In this complete void, only one thing was clear.

And it was blood.

Lots and lots of blood.

Even if you couldn't see, you could still smell it.

And it was so strong that, one would have the urge to vomit.

"Ugh," a groan escaped from a man's mouth, a weak, helpless groan.

"Please, l-let me g-go." he pleaded, his voice hoarse and feeble.

"Let you go?" Rael's voice was cold and sharp.

"Didn't you hear what I said? You are the last one. So, tell me where that damn fly is, or you will..." he paused, and a flash of blue light illuminated the darkness for a second.

"...end up like them."

In that flicker of a second, the light revealed the whole area.

And it was a mess.

The whole building was in shambles, the walls were destroyed, and the ceiling was cracked.

Parts of the building were completely torn apart, and the furniture was all over the place.

There were even pieces of the ceiling that were falling from the sky.

But, the most eye-catching was the fact that the whole place was covered in blood.

Everywhere, there was blood.

On the walls, on the floor, and even on the ceiling.

It was as if a madman had decided to paint the place with it.

All because of the bodies that had been piled up in a single place and the corpses that were lying all over the building.

Dead bodies, lifeless bodies, broken bodies.

They were everywhere.

But, the worst part was, that they were not just dead, they were brutally murdered.

Some were missing their heads, while some were missing their arms.

Some were missing both their legs, and some were even brutally burned to death.

All because of one thing, a single reason.

"Just tell me where the hell is he?" Rael's voice was low and cold.

His mouth and nose were covered by a mask, while his clothes were drenched in blood.

Even his hair was dyed in the crimson liquid.

After killing every living person, and destroying everything in the building, he was now sitting gracefully on the piled-up bodies of the deceased players.

He was looking straight into the eyes of the last surviving person, a single player.

And that man was just an unknown noob.

He was just a normal player who was lucky enough to join the Dragon Slayer guild.

That was why, when the whole guild was being attacked, he just hid in the corner, trembling in fear.

He didn't dare to move or even utter a word.

And after all the commotion died down, he waited and waited, hoping that no one would notice him.

But, the universe is not kind.

As soon as Rael had finished killing the players, he used his left eye and searched for any surviving player.

And, to his surprise, he found the man, hidden in a dark corner.

Of course, he immediately dragged him to the center of the building and threatened him with his life.

And when he did that, the man was so terrified that his legs started to tremble, and his whole body started to shake uncontrollably.

He was so scared, that his heart had almost jumped out of his chest.

But, no matter how scared or frightened the man was, he didn't tell Rael what he wanted to know.

Because, if he told the guy the location of his boss, he would die.

If not, he would still die.

It was a lose-lose situation for him.

"I-I don't know," the man stammered, his voice shaking.

'I know you will kill me if I tell you the truth,' the man thought, 'That is why I pressed the emergency button when that monster was busy killing others, I just hope someone comes and saves me before I die.'

"You don't know, huh," Rael repeated, his voice calm.

"Y-yeah, I don't," the man replied, his eyes fixed on Rael.

"Hmm, I see,"

'I am not gonna die today,' the man thought, a glimmer of hope sparkled in his heart.

"You should have told me from the beginning," Rael continued, "It would have saved both of us some trouble."

"Yeah, s-so, can you l-let me—" the man started to speak, but he was cut off.

"I told you, didn't I?" Rael said, his tone casual.

"I'm not letting anyone go,"

"What?" the man's face paled, his eyes wide open.

"Now, the only question is, what should I do with you," Rael spoke, his voice soft and smooth.

He raised his right hand and rested his head on it, while, his elbow was resting on his knee.

Then he closed his eyes and ordered, "Kill him,"

"Yes, master," Luna responded, she was standing beside him.

After getting the command, she immediately raised her hand above her head, and many spears made of white light appeared out of nowhere.

The spears were all pointing at the man, and they were ready to shoot.

"Wait, wait!" the man yelled, his face filled with fear.

"I told you I don't know anything, so why are you still going to kill me?!"

"No reason," Rael replied, his voice calm and his eyes still closed.

Just then, with a slight movement of her hand, the spears were released and flew towards the man.

"NO!!!"

Gush!

Blood splattered on the wall and ground, as countless spears passed through the man's body, leaving gaping holes in their wake.

"Gugh,"

A stream of blood flowed from his mouth, and he coughed and hacked violently.

His eyes were wide open, and his body was trembling.

Thud!

His body fell to the ground, and a pool of blood started to form beneath him.

"It is done, master," Luna said, her voice emotionless.

He stayed there, sitting on the pile of corpses, with his eyes closed.

Meanwhile, Luna was standing next to him, her gaze fixed on him.

'What could master be thinking about?' she wondered about her master, the man who had taken her virginity and gave her an unbelievable pleasure.

The man who had shown her that there was more to this world than just fame, money, and power.

'Ah,'

Just the thought of what he had done to her made her face flush and her body hot.

'I wonder if he is thinking about giving me a reward again...' she thought, her heart beating fast and her body tingling.

She was just a girl who had never felt love or desire, and yet, after meeting her master, her whole world had changed.

She had now become a woman, a woman who had experienced the greatest pleasure ever.

And that pleasure was given to her by the man who had taken her virginity, by the man who had made her a woman.

Rael, her master.

'Please think about me, please master.' she prayed in her heart, her cheeks turning red.

Meanwhile, Rael, who was sitting on the pile of bodies, was thinking about something else.

'Why isn't he here yet?'

He was waiting for the Dragon Slayer because, he knew that there would be an emergency button or something similar in the building which would notify every member of the guild, including the boss.

But, for some reason, he was sure that someone must have initiated the emergency button.

So, it should have called all the members and the leader, the Dragon Slayer.

And if so, then, where the hell is he?

"Who the hell has done it, huh?" A loud yell was heard throughout the hallway.

Rael's eyes snapped open, and his lips curled into a smile.

'Speak of the fly slayer, and he shall appear,'
