Doing What They Can

"If you don't let me help you with your work again, I'm going to start feeling suffocated," Sophia said as she stood at the door to Luca's office.

It had been four days since they bonded.

Sophia's pain was nearly gone and she was getting tired of laying around while Luca continued to work in his office, pulling long hours and barely even leaving for meals or simply to visit.

There was a multitude of complaints being sent to Luca about the suddenness of the construction and how unfair it was that they received no warning before being kicked out of office.

Sophia could tell it was weighing on him so she decided that she would start fielding emails like she used to before. There needed to be a layer between Luca and the lower levels of the company. The fact that people were comfortable going directly to the president of the company Sophia felt was inappropriate considering Luca had more important accounts and clients to look over.
