Her eyes were still swollen from her previous tears, but they began to water again for a far different reason than before. She tried to pull away and hide her face from him. 

“Promise me,” she uttered. “Promise me I'll never be in the same room as him ever again.” 

His fist clenched and he had to control his anger. 

Quieter than before he whispered, “I promise.”

Synopsis: 
A tumultuous childhood made Sophia fight that much harder for peace in her adulthood. Yet it would take only one meeting to shatter the average life she led as a successful bakery owner in the center of New Vista. 

She found him on a pile of garbage in an alley, bleeding from a head wound. After taking him to the hospital, he woke up not knowing who he was. The hospital referred to him as “John Doe”.

While navigating her fresh breakup, the mystery man became her source of distraction and comfort. He has a far more tender and doting side than she ever expected. Is he only like this with her?

How I Became The Alpha Mafia Boss' Target

The truth had been weighing heavily on Miss Marcaida's heart.

Ever since she found out about her father, she felt directionless. Seeing Sophia put her back on track.

Using her security clearance to get in front of Luca once again, Serena paid off an officer to give her the interrogation room to talk to the mafia boss. The officer said he was going to take a 30 minute cigarette break and she had that amount of time to do whatever she needed to do. It was nighttime so most of the hallways were empty and most of the inmates awaiting trial were locked in their cells.

That was the only time of day Serena felt safe. Alphas scared the hell out of her the more she got to know them. The one failsafe she had was not being an omega with any kind of scent.

Serena sat in the interrogation room waiting for Luca and, when he entered the room, she stood up and approached him.
