Her eyes were still swollen from her previous tears, but they began to water again for a far different reason than before. She tried to pull away and hide her face from him. 

“Promise me,” she uttered. “Promise me I'll never be in the same room as him ever again.” 

His fist clenched and he had to control his anger. 

Quieter than before he whispered, “I promise.”

Synopsis: 
A tumultuous childhood made Sophia fight that much harder for peace in her adulthood. Yet it would take only one meeting to shatter the average life she led as a successful bakery owner in the center of New Vista. 

She found him on a pile of garbage in an alley, bleeding from a head wound. After taking him to the hospital, he woke up not knowing who he was. The hospital referred to him as “John Doe”.

It was all about timing. If he didn't execute everything perfectly, it would mean he couldn't leave and wouldn't be able to see Sophia.

Luca spent his time simply watching.

The guards' schedules were easy to figure out. How much the officers cared varied. It would be easy to take advantage of some and pay off others. Money certainly made the world go round in a place like that.

However, Luca was most interested in a certain other alpha awaiting trial.

Since he couldn't resign from Falcone Investments and Holdings before everything went to a head, Angelo's money was tied up in the investigations. He should have sold all his stocks and resigned but was behind bars instead. He missed an opportune time to get bail and escape.
