Right To Grieve

Gio had gone up against his cousin and won. Because of that, Elle still had a husband, she was not a widow.

She was happy out that, and beyond grateful.

But what she was not happy about, was the fact that Gio was suffering. He was hurting, and not just because of his own wounds from the battle, but his emotional pain was also clear to see.

For the past few days he had lain in bed and had barely said a word. The doctors had said that his wounds were not serious, releasing him after a few rounds of blood transfusion and stitching him up.

But in the days since then, it was as though Gio had slipped into a near catatonic state.
