I started this book a few months ago, but the author stopped at chapter 5. I was heartbroken because I absolutely loved it❤️.Now that she’s picked it up again, I couldn’t be happier! I adore the genre, and I love how Grey is fighting to survive as a woman. Honestly, I love everything about this story.✨❤️❤️❤️

Pressure can turn coal into diamonds. And that’s what the main character, Grey, is—hard, sharp, and worth a lot of money. He knows exactly what he wants and how the world works. He tolerates no weakness, neither in himself nor in others. And he certainly has no pity for it. But things are about to change. What happens when a diamond turns into a pearl? As in the author's previous stories, the world is somewhat bare-bones. We don't know much about Grey's company or even which country it's set in, and the main character is only briefly described. But this minimalist approach suits the focused perspective of Grey. The story is just beginning, so the promised comedy has yet to fully shine, but the stage is set.
