THE SWAP (3)

Unknown to her, Isabel failed to mention the basis of her marriage which is solely a contractual agreement meaning her marriage is a fake.

The dimly lit hallway created a passage and displayed a moving shadow with a small physic.

It's 2am in the morning and Isobel is seen in possession of a glass jar heading towards the kitchen. She woke up hungry for water and wanted to ease the thirst.

Isobel descends the stairs and heads straight into the moonlit kitchen. She quickly turned on the tap and filled the jar.

Keeping it aside, Isobel took a glass cup, rinsed and poured water into it and downed it all in a gulp in order to curb her thirst for the clear liquid.

Isobel stood gazing at the starry night in the quiet kitchen. It cast a beautiful and peaceful twinkle, as if shimmering the earth with its grace.

It's been three days since she assumed the role of her twin as Isabel Julius Cza and she discovered Isabel lied about her being an aunt.

Apparently there was no baby, it was just one of Isabel's bluffs to trick Isobel to cave in, which worked. She didn't know how to feel about the deceiving female, she wasn't any better so she let it go.

During her stay she got to meet Omann, a female maid, who comes in every eating hour to cook and clean then leaves and Mitts the PA to Julius Cza whom she met once.

Her supposed husband is on business travels to exhibit his art works. A man of fame and wealth, through and through.

Isobel marveled in a daze, enjoying the view and the refreshing water oblivious to the man sitting on one of the kitchen stools furiously typing away on his phone.

Isobel realized a bit late as in the next second she stumbled back, startled upon seeing a huge frame occupying space in the once empty kitchen.

The man paid no attention to her shocked visage as he busied himself tapping on the phone screen.

Isobel appeared lost in what to do.

She was quick to recognise the man as Isabel's husband by reason of she was told only four people knew the passcode to gain access to the villa;

Omann, Mitts, Isabel and her husband Julius besides the villa was heavily guarded by top security agents so there's absolutely no way they would let in a stranger.

And upon closer observation the man came off comfortable and relaxed.

Isobel clears her throat. "Jul…. Julius?"

Curiously, Isobel tentatively asked. The busy man halted his actions as he heard his name being called. He raised up his head to show an indifferent bored look.

"Who are you?"

Julius asked with a characteristic slow gaze sounding aloof.

"Eh….."

Isobel stupidly spouts then regrets her actions.

In fact the moment she saw his face for the first time, Isobel was flabbergasted and appeared to lose all manner of reason.

It was for the reason that nothing prepared her for what she was about to witness.

The picture she saw of Isabel's husband didn't do him justice, he was such a handsome man that he seemed surreal.
