THE INFORMANT.

CHAPTER 12: THE INFORMANT.

Gomez walked into a restaurant in Chinatown, alone, while his men waited outside. He was in a turf he had little leverage in.

Standing at the entrance, he scanned and assessed the room. It was filled with Asians. They threw stares of disgust at him, but he ignored them.

Adjusting his suit, he walked straight to the bar, and sat on a stool. A male bartender stood behind the counter.

"What can I get you?" the bartender asked.

"Tequila," Gomez said simply.

"Coming right up," the bartender nodded, as he went ahead to serve Gomez the drink.

Gomez received it, and chugged it down with one gulp, gently placing the cup on the counter. And took a deep breath.

'Where could he be? I've looked round this bar and there is no sign of him,' Gomez reasoned within himself.

"Am looking for someone, the informant. Do you know where I can find him? Gomez asked the bartender.

"I don't have any idea," he replied sluggishly.

"You sure don't know where he is?" Gomez persisted.

"I said, I don't have any idea sir," the bartender responded rudely.

Gomez removed a ring from his pocket and placed it on the counter and gently moved it to the bartender's direction.

And quickly removed the ring from the counter, as he returned the ring back to his pocket.

Looking at what Gomez placed on the counter, the bartender saw that the ring was carrying the Bull's Clan crest.

The bartender looked at Gomez as he made a hand gesture to a particular direction, instructimg Gomez to pass through that direction.

Gomez looked at the direction where the bartender pointed, he saw a back door and nodded his head.

Gomez adjusted his suit and went through the door.

Looking round and saw different individuals, some of them walked close to him.

When they realized his face doesn't look familiar, they concluded he wasn't one of them.

They threw hateful satares at him. But Gomez wasn't one to scare easy. So he kept moving forward.

"Who are you, and what brought you here?" One of the men asked Gomez with a deep voice.

Gomez stretch out his hand to shake the man, finding a means to introduce himself.

But Gomez hand remained stock up in the air, as the man didn't respond to such action.

Gomez looked at him and got the massage clearly, he raised his eye brows and brought down his hand.

The man turned his back and made a move of going back to his spot.

"Am Gomez, Newton Bishop-"

"I get it, looking for my boss huh?" the man asked.

Gomez nodded his head, "Yes," he said.

"Come with me," the man said as he lead Gomez to his boss was.

Ten steps away, Gomez sighted another entrance, he shook his head wondering why on earth was the need for such privacy.

"Hold on here," the man instructed Gomez.

As he entered the room and reported to his boss of Gomez's arrival.

"Let him in," his boss said.

"Yes sir," he responded, as he exited the room.

As he got close to where Gomez was, he gesture Gomez to come over, Gomez walked to the door.

"You can go in," the man said to Gomez, as he returned to his spot.

Gomez went in, reaching to where the informant was seated, he bow his head and greeted him.

"You got me right on seat," the informant said as he chuckled.

He made a hand gesture offering Gomez a sit, Gomez how his head and took a sit.

"Getting you right on seat wasn't a coincidence sir," Gomez said as he tries to strike a conversation.

" Mm, how do we call it then?" The informant inquires friendly.

"I got my men on this," Gomez said, as he adjusted his tie.

"I think they did a good job, your are truly the Bishop's man," the informant said as he chuckled softly.

"So, what do I have this visit?" He asked.

Gomez cleared his throat softly and move his chair forward.

Putting his hand in his suit jacket, he brought out a picture, and gently placed it on the table, as he shifted close to the informant.

The informant raised his eye brows, and look at the picture closely.

"Newton Bishop's son?" the informant said.

Gomez nodded his head in agreement.

The informant smiled and nodded his head.

"The young man is being spied on. Hence, the reason for this visit," Gomez said.
