Chapter 10: Trials and errors
It is early in the morning, katsuto is having occuring nightmares of taisuke revealing the secret of him being a fire elemental to everyone. He quickly wakes up with sweat on his face and starts panting.
"Damn, that was just a dream" katsuto says in a depressed tone
Chapter 11: Trials and errors
Time passes by and katsuto is done freshening up. He is eating his breakfast with master kashi with a worried and stressed expression, he starts to play with his food.
"Whats going on katsuto, you dont seem like yourself today?", master kashi asks curiously
"Nah its nothing" katsuto says depressed
Master kashi gives out a look that shows he knows katsuto is lying and there is something wrong
"Tell me the truth katsuto, there is something up that you are not telling me" master kashi says
Katsuto lets out a big sigh
"Master kashi what would happen if someone knew that we're the only fire users" katsuto asks
"Well first of all i hope you did not tell anyone katsuto" master kashi says strictly
"No i didnt tell anyone" katsuto lies
"Good, well the first thing if anyone found out that we fire elementals still exist is that the person who found out will let the authorities know and they will come to our house, search the place and take the most valuable thing we have which is the F.U.R.Y stones" master kashi explains
"That reminds me, what makes the F.U.R.Y stones so special?" Katsuto asks curiously
"Well the F.U.R.Y stones are 4 special stones created by the elemental god and they hold a special value cause of its rarity. Each of these stones represent the four main elements which is fire, water, air and earth. These stones each have a special property to enhance an elemental's chi but if these stones are combined, you can make one wish. Master kashi explains
"Wait any wish?" Katsuto asks
"Yes any wish desired and it will be done" master kashi says
"Then why aren't we making a wish" katsuto asks curiously
"If i make a wish katsuto, the stones will disappear to some random place in the world" master kashi says
"This is big news though, i can make a good wish and that wish is to bring back all the deceased fire elementals. Haven't you told me that i was destined to bring back all the fire elementals that died." katsuto says with charisma
"Yes but its too early and besides making a wish is very difficult cause the stones capture the second or final thing you say in your mind and that will be your wish." Master says
"How hard could making a wish be" Katsuto says
"Well lets say you wish for an apple and then banana comes to mind, the stones will make a banana appear in your hands" master kashi explains
"Wait for real?" Katsuto asks
"Yes and you tend to overthink so im not gonna let you wish for something till your mind is more mature" master says strictly
"Fine then, anyways im going to leave now before im late, mitsuki should be here anytime now" katsuto says
"But your not even done with your food, you cannot just leave on an empty stomach" master kashi says with care
"Nah its fine im used to it, bye master kashi". Katsuto says rushingly
Katsuto walks out the door and sees mitsuki flying down to the house.
"Whats up mitsuki" katsuto greets mitsuki
"Whats up so how are you feeling about what that guy said yesterday" mitsuki asks curiously
"You know im not going to let guy bring my mood down just because he knows my secret, let him threaten me its perfectly fine." Katsuto says without any worry
"Yeah but your chances of making it to the faction is going to be low" mitsuki says worriedly
"Its fine, even if i dont make it, i can just be my own hero without any of the laws and regulations" katsuto says confidently
"Alright we have to get going" mitsuki says
Katsuto uses his jet propulsion but his shoes dont seem to be burning and mitsuki uses her air element to fly.
"Mmh i see your shoes dont burn from the flames" mitsuki says curiously
"Yeah i bought fire proof version shoes from this sketchy store and im surprised its not fake" katsuto explains
Katsuto and mitsuki fly out at great speeds
Meanwhile at the water king's palace and megumi is attempting to sneak out of the house quietly but gets seen by her father up the staircase.
"Where do you think your going megumi?, Water king says strictly
Megumi lets out a disappointed sigh in herself.
"Dad im just going to the stadium for the exam" megumi says
"And i hope your going with a carriage there right?" Water king asks
"No dad" Megumi says uneagerly
"Well its either your going with the carriage or you dont go to the exam megumi" water king says seriously
"But dad...." Megumi gets interrupted
"No buts and i know that you used annya as a diversion to sneak out yesterday, well its not happening today megumi, i've been spoiling you too much" water king says strictly
"Alright i'll gođ" megumi says
"Good i'll see you at the stadium" water king
Meanwhile deep in a mysterious forest, there is a dark mansion that has a lab with people on stretchers who seem to be dead and unconscious. Different scientists are assigned to experiment on different people till the man no other than fukushu enters the lab.
"Sir we're glad your here but we have bad news to tell you" a random scientist says
"What is it" fukushu says seriously
"The serum did not work on them and some died cause of the incompatibility" the random scientist says nervously
"So i let you be my lead scientist in this whole project and you have the guts, the effortentry to say that the serum does not work" fukushu says with annoyed tone
"Im sorry sir but im working on something that....." The lead scientist gets interrupted
"Your working on what...FAILING!!!" Fukushu says angrily
Every scientist in the room shows signs of freight and the lead scientist shows signs of disappointment in his face
"No master fukushu, my deepest apologies" the lead scientist apologizes
"Listen to me and i mean all of you, if you guys dont apply the steps of making this serum work, i'll make you all dont see broad daylight!" Fukushu threatens the scientists.
The silence in the room becomes deafening as the fukushu exits, all the scientists in the room feel 2X more fright after fukushu had threaten all of them.
Meanwhile katsuto and mitsuki had just arrived at the stadium, the audiences have not arrived which indicates their good punctuality. They enter a room with different lockers and they find hiroto in it.
"Whats up hiroto, your here early" katsuto greets hiroto
"I could say the same for you guys, whats up" hiroto greets katsuto and dabs him up
Hiroto then approaches mitsuki and picks her up suddenly and then proceeds to hug her. Mitsuki is overwhelmed and starts to blush.
"Uhh whats happening" mitsuki says confused and overwhelmed
Hiroto then drops her back on the ground.
"Oh thats how we earth elementals greet female woman" hiroto explains
"Wait doesn't earth elementals do that when they are attr...." Katsuto's gets covered by hiroto's hand
"Oookay then but next time tell me when you were gonna do that cause that was so sudden. Anyways im going to look for megumi cause hanging with you boys is already a pain in the ass" mitsuki says
Mitsuki leaves the room and hiroto removes his hand from katsuto's mouth.
"Wait do you like mitsuki?" Katsuto says loudly
"Dont say it out loud, and yes i do have small feelings for mitsuki" hiroto says embarrassed
"But how could you like mitsuki when she has a tomboyish attitude." Katsuto says
"Well i wouldn't say tomboyish but more of a strong-willed girl and she has beautiful looks. We earth elementals like strong girls, it surprises me that she is an air elemental" hiroto admires mitsuki
"I guess then why dont you talk to her" katsuto encourages hiroto
"I dont know about that, i dont want to embarrass myself you know" hiroto says
"Come on i can teach you the ways of my charm, its called "katsuto's guide to being a charm god" katsuto says playfully
"Nah i rather keep it on the low katsuto" hiroto says
"Alright if you say so" katsuto replies
Taisuke walks into the room and gives katsuto a devious smile, katsuto responds to it with a serious and annoyed expression. He then approaches katsuto and wants to speak with him.
"Hiroto if you mind i would like to speak with this guy" katsuto says seriously
"Is there anything wrong here" hiroto curiously asks
"Nah its just something i want to handle with this guy" katsuto replies
"Alright you can find me in the arena when your done" hiroto says
Hiroto leaves the room and looks at taisuke suspiciously. Once hiroto leaves, katsuto's seriousness escalates.
"What do you want" katsuto asks aggressively
"Woah whats with the hostility katsuto blaze" taisuke says calmly
"Dont say my surname around here, now what do you want?" katsuto says strictly
"Well im going to keep this short, i want you to go the elemental hero office which is not far from here and i want you to get information about the next exam." Taisuke orders katsuto
"Im not doing that" katsuto refuses
"Oh well then i will just tell everyone your secret" taisuke threatens katsuto
Katsuto takes a deep sigh before saying a word.
"You know what go ahead cause no matter what you say there is no concrete proof that im a fire user" katsuto says confidently
Taisuke thinks to himself and realizes his mistake. He begins to show signs of annoyance and frustration of this outcome
"You got lucky but soon or later, i will find the proof kid" taisuke says annoyed
Katsuto gives out an arrogant smile. Meanwhile time passes and every participant, audience, heroes, kings and queens arrive and the announcer announces the next exam to the participants while they are in a new, large area.
"Alright participants are you ready for your exam cause its going to be a fun one for you guys. The next exam will be a scavenger hunt"
