Ch 59: The truth will come out [pt2]

"Are you not going to turn around and greet me, Meria? You are so cruel to me. But it's alright. Since you will be mine anyway, I might as well forgive you for it."

The person behind Meria played with his hair and tugged it close to his lips.

'Don't turn around, Meria. You should not see what is going on behind you. Don't believe in false hope consume you. The person you want to see is dead.'

Meria reminded himself again and again, but he still turned around in hopes of seeing the dead person in front of him.

Disappointment filled Meria as he noticed that no one was standing behind him.

"Well, what did you expect? The dead cannot come back to life."

Meria scolded himself before he decided to walk forward…

…and collided with a familiar chest in front of him.

Blue eyes met amused golden eyes before Meria grabbed the face before him with shaking hands.

"You! How can you be here? You died…"
