Chapter 07

Kanto, Saffron City

On the other hand, the spy of team rocket in the Hoenn association conveyed to their leader about the association discovering a file of team rocket pokeball research. 

A woman was yelling and cursing when she got the news about the discovery of the pokeball research files. In front of her were the people involved in the invention of Master ball and gene cloning of Rayquaza.

"Useless! You failed to keep the fossil of the Rayquaza and now you failed to report about the completion of the masterball!?" 

The woman scolded the people kneeling in front of her. Unable to control her anger she summoned her pokemon. A Nidoqueen showed up and with the command of the woman it immediately started slaughtering the researchers leaving only one person behind.

"You're lucky you're my nephew or else I would have also killed you! But this is the last time you will fail! Now you useless brat, I need you to fetch the item and the documents of the research." 

"Yes, Auntie Gina" 

The man nodded as he trembled as he was afraid of the woman in front of him. 

While trembling everyone heard the door opening 

"Mom how many times I told you stop decreasing our human resource also they are leaders in each department"

A teen wearing a tuxedo entered the room. 

"My little boy Giovanni" 

"Mom, I heard everything. This is becoming a problem." Giovanni looks at John. With his posture and aura, Giovanni gives the feeling like he was looking down to his subordinate. 

John who was listening in the side couldn't help but feel envy toward his cousin who has everything;Talent, power, and life that he didn't have. He couldn't help but clenched his fist when he saw Giovanni looking at him like that. 

"That's right my dear, I couldn't believe there are idiots in our organization who don't report their research and it falls toward our enemy." Gina sat as she said that making all members hear her words. 

"I have a suggestion mom, how about we use those two clans who have a favor to repay to us." Giovanni suggested

"Oh? The land and Water clan?" Gina asked

"Yes mother, with there help we could easily take our items back" 

"But they want the samples of the two legendary pokemons of Hoenn" John who was kneeling intervened 

"So what? Giving just a part of a fossilized legends won't hurt us, as long as we have a greater benefits. And for your information you are the one overseeing the research which you kept secret and we only know it exists because you failed." Giovanni rebukes John but John couldn't help but cursed as he didn't really know who has successfully created the masterball.

Riiing~

Gina's phone rang. She took it and answered. 

"Hello" 

"Good evening madam, we finally had a huge progress in our cloning research." the other side of the phone said

"Really!? Finally a good news, so tell me the information then. Son I will be going to our lab in Cinnabar" Gina was surprised as she let the researchers continue 

While Gina was talking to her subordinates, John stood up as he glared at Giovanni. While Giovanni smirked as he left the room. Seeing this John followed as his teeth clenching due to anger. 

"Giovanni I heard that you have now opened a gym in Viridian City?" 

"Yes I have" Giovanni answered aloofly 

"You're lucky that you're talented unlike your two brothers. Oh right that noble family want you and your family dead" John provoked him because even though they're in this organization the madam and Giovanni loved their family. But due to the clan's rule those children in the main family who aren't going to be the head will be eradicated or be kicked out.

Seeing the situation of her two sons Gina's hate to her husband's so called noble family risen. Her husband also hated his family because after he lost his strongest Pokemon his cousin and elders cast him aside removing him as the candidate for the patriarch position and also losing his first child.

 But as time passed clans lost their power in the association and all their silly rules were removed due to the reason was the first president of the alliance, deterring those clans or nobles with his strong pokemons but it couldn't save her first son at all.

Seeing the power of the pokemonon the president's side. Gina craved to have the same power. The strongest Pokemon and wealth. That's why Gina with the help of her husband created team Rocket. With Gina's charm and leadership many talents who were oppressed by clans came to their doorstep.

 Her reason was because she didn't want what happened to her son but over time that reason faded away as she searched for the strongest power changing her mindset.

First she became an elite four but found that it wasn't the power she and her organization wanted and needed because what they wanted is not be under someone else and she saw that the chairman of the association is also controlled by the people under him. So she set her sight on creating the strongest pokemon.

"Giovanni, how about we battle?" John proposed. 

"Sure then" Giovanni agreed, not caring for his cousin's schemes. 

5 minutes later. 

Sharp stones came protruding from the ground and a Machamp was lying on the ground. 

'Impossible, how could he be so strong?!' John screamed as each of his six pokemon were defeated by a single attack of Rhydon. He was in awe of how strong Giovanni's pokemon were. He lost all of his strength that he fell and kneeled on the ground.

Unlike in the anime, trainer will also lose part of their energy if his pokemon lost and that's why it was one of the theoried reasons for most trainers having a limited amount of pokemon. 

Giovanni returned Rhydon to its pokeball and left. He took out his phone and called the leader of both water and land clan.

Back to Hoenn Verdanturf Town. 

Ed finished his conversation with his parents which most part of it was about the events that happened today. At first he was a little awkward because even the young Edward was not close to his parents. But Ed felt he was just talking to his friends when their conversation got long and deep inside Ed felt a happiness that he knew that didn't come from him. From the contest, his first battle, and the stories of Norman and the others about their travels. 

After talking with the two, Ed fed his pokemons. He was curious about the difference between pokemon food between the dog food and cat food on earth. But he could see that different pokemon had different types of food they like. Wurmple's pokemon food was mostly leaves. 

With the help of Macy, Ed learned how to make pokemon food. What is interesting is that most Pokemon food is made of berries. After feeding his pokemon he also went to the dining table and waited for the elders. 

Minutes later, the two elders came to the dining room. 

They eat their dinner as Grandpa Yun told Ed about going to his friend's office. He also told him about their objective on going there. 

"Egg?" Ed's eyes shined as he couldn't wait to see a real pokemon egg. 

"I want to go!" Ed jumped excitedly as he didn't get to see Cleffa hatching from its egg because he was still sleeping in bed at the time the pokemon hatched. 

"That's settled then" Grandpa laughed.

Later that night Ed dreamed a scene that he didn't know before. It was the scene of a battle between four pokemon. One the left were Greninja and Sceptile and the other was a rare pokemon who was not part of this world. Ed remembered they're called Ultra beast. 

They're Pheromosa and Buzzwole, both pokemons are fighting and bug which Greninja and Sceptile are at the disadvantage. But the two ultra beasts didn't fight back and just dodge the attacks coming to them. When Greninja and Sceptile stop attacking, Pheromosa appears in front of Ed and takes Ed. 

The scene suddenly change as Ed saw Jirachi, the Jirachi that helped him in his reincarnation, with a man. The man was holding two pokemon eggs but the Pheromosa talked to them and Jirachi shook his head. Jirachi then did something to the eggs as they turned into light particles and came to Ed's body. 

The man patted Ed as he said something but inaudible. When he removed his hand he was gone like he was not there in the first place.

After that phenomena Pheromosa stroked Ed's head like looking at her own child. After that Pheromosa and Buzzwole entered the pokeballs of Sonia and Argus and Ed's vision became dark. 

When he woke up it was already morning.

1st POV

What the heck is that!? So you're telling me that my parents in this life caught an ultra beast without beast balls!?

How strong are my parents? I learned that my two elders are elite trainers. But the real question is why do I feel connected to those ultra beasts? Also that man I always felt that I knew that man. 

*Click* 

I heard the door opening so I turned my head and saw Ralts opening the door. I turned my head and saw Ralts' shocked face and also the tray with a glass of milk on it which was floating behind him as he used his psychic power. It was really convenient to have psychic power as you can lazily float your body. I remember that Sabrina can use psychic powers.

"Morning Ralts" 

I greeted Ralts but seeing his face I was confused as to why Ralts was shocked when he opened the door. Did something happen to me? 

"Raa" Ralts stared still at me

"What's wrong?" As I asked I felt what Ralts felt due to the connection I have with the pokemon and also that Ralts can synchronize with me. 

"Wait, why are you shocked that I woke up early? I'm already cured you know" 

Is it because Ed always wakes up late? Or because Ed needs to be woken up by others? I questioned myself about the past user. 

"Raa" Ralts disregarded my question and gave me the milk. After he gave the milk he floated towards the other to wake them up. But aside from Budew the other is still asleep. Ralts didn't give up and wanted to awaken the other but Grandma showed up. 

"You can let them be Ralts after all, they need to regain their energy from your scuffles yesterday. After all they're still children and they spent all their energies yesterday. Ed, you bring Budew to bathe in sunlight." 

Now I remember Budew was a plant Pokemon, and they need more sunlight also they can gain energy from it.

"Let's go" I slowly lifted Budew who was still asleep and slowly left the room. I slowly walk down the stairs after reaching the ground floor I go out to put Budew on the spot where its parents and fellow grass-type pokemon are photosynthesizing.

After leaving Budew for photosynthesis I walk towards the dining room. 

When I arrived at the dining room I saw grandpa reading a newspaper. I sat on the table and saw on the back of the newspaper that the youth camp the alliance will held will be February next year which is three months from now. 

"Here's your breakfast Ed." 

I want to read more but Grandma bought me my breakfast which is pancake with honey and I was also hungry so I immediately started to chow down but grandma slapped my head. 

"Why aren't you showing gratitude and not minding your manners" she scolded me. 

I apologize to grandma and I remember that when I was in college I was so busy that I rarely had a proper meal. And if I eat I forget about etiquette and start gobbling the food.

"Thank you for the food" 

While I was eating I suddenly remember about the raw ingredients for food. 

These ingredients are pokemon but not classified as one. If there is lower aptitude than bronze then they'll be classified but to be classified as pokemon it should have a move and have intelligence. But there are also other classifications but I don't know what it is. There are still classified pokemon turning into ingredients one great example is slowpoke. 

After eating I took a bath and after I got out I saw the other brat being led by Macy. 

"Ed, are you ready to go now?" Grandpa asked me

"Yes" 

"Okay let's go" 

I want to bring my pokemons but seeing that they'll still eating their breakfast I could only bring Ralts and Budew with me. 

This is my second time out of the house so while we're on our way to our destination I watch from the window as I see pokemon and I know some because I saw them in the animation and games. But I can't identify the other pokemon as I can't clearly see them as we are moving and my elders can't stop just to sight see, also even if we stop they won't let me get near the pokemon because even in our place except for the little brats they won't let me near the adult pokemon. 

Maybe because I'm bored or I just woke up early I doze off while Budew who was in my lap is also napping comfortably as it unconsciously use synthesis. 

Even though I'm dozing off I hear the elders talking with each other about his parents, his uncles and aunts who still didn't have

childrens, to him, the dragon couple, to the friend that they will be visiting and his grandchildren.
