''Do you think you will survive if I ever decide to take revenge on you?'' Vincent finally looked at her with a mocking expression.
''Sabrina, this restaurant has their own menu that they serve on certain days, but I believe you will like it. But in case you don't…'' Pat decided to engage Sabrina in a conversation.
''I am not a picky eater, Pat. All these dishes are good.'' Sabrina said and picked up her cutlery. Just as she was about to dig into her food, Vincent cleared his throat.
Sabrina ignored him and tried to eat and he cleared his throat again. She rolled her eyes and turned to look at him. ''What is it, Mr. Maraj?''
''Darling, she is calling him Mr. Maraj. Isn't that romantic?'' Adelaide giggled.
Sabrina looked at Adelaide and smiled awkwardly. She turned to Vincent and asked. ''What is it?''
Vincent placed his right hand on the table. Sabrina's lips parted shockingly. She smiled. ''I understand.''
Sabrina picked Vincent's plate and fetched some of the food into it. She pushed her chair closer and picked the cutlery to feed him.
''Vincent, why are you bullying Sabrina?'' Pat asked.
''Honey, this isn't bullying. This is love. See, Vincent is hurt and he can't use his hand to eat. Sabrina is feeding him. This is so romantic.''
''Romantic, my foot.'' Sabrina gritted. Everyone was eating, but she was busy feeding a grown man. The more Sabrina thought about it, the angrier she became.
She wore a pretty dress, and came out for dinner, but now, instead of having a memorable time at a high-class restaurant, here she was, feeding a grown man.
''You don't look too happy, Sabrina. Do you think it's unfair?'' Vincent asked. For some reason, he just wanted to mess with her.
''No! You are my savior. You got hurt because of me. I am glad to serve you, your highness…'' Sabrina replied with a fake smile.
''Your smile isn't genuine. It's making me loss my appetite.''
''I have a lot of appetite but I am not eating. Mr. Maraj, can you chew the meat fast. The food is going to be cold by the time I'm ready to eat.'' Sabrina glared at him and he chuckled.
''Weren't you anxious yesterday to take care of me? You even wanted to take me home. What happened now? Were you bluffing yesterday and didn't think about the consequences?''
''I wasn't anxious. I was worried about you. The doctor said you wouldn't be able to do a lot of things by yourself and I just wanted to be of help since you got hurt because of me. But what did you do? You deceived me into coming here. Will you pay for my flight ticket?''
''One, I didn't deceive you. Georgia was only expressing her concern and you decided to help out. Two, the Spanish couple were supposed to come but they called me to reschedule just a few minutes before I picked you at the airport. I told Pat that you were around and he requested to have dinner. Sabrina, I don't deceive people.''
Sabrina pursed her lips. She picked a piece of meat and put in her mouth subconsciously before taking another piece to feed Vincent.
Vincent noticed her actions and his lips parted in shock. Sabrina still hadn't realized what she did and asked as she chewed the meat.
''Why are you looking at me?''
''Honey, did you see that? She and Vincent are sharing a cutlery. I can't believe I'm witnessing a live version of the rumors on the internet.
''Huh?'' Sabrina's face flushed when she realized what she just did. She dropped the fork and shook her hands. ''I… I didn't mean to, no, it was a mistake.''
Pat and Adelaide chuckled.
Sabrina closed her eyes and cussed. She stood up, saying. ''I'm going to the washroom.''
''She is shy.'' Adelaide said and chuckled.
Vincent recovered his composure and became indifferent. He looked at Pat and Adelaide and smiled.
''I'll go and check on Sabrina.'' Adelaide stood up and left the room.
Pat cleared his throat and scoffed. ''Who was the one who said Sabrina was trying to change her social status by clinging to him? The one playing games right now is you. No?''
Vincent looked at Pat and chuckled. 'Am I not allowed to?'' He asked.
''I knew there was something going on. You are using that injury to trap Sabrina, right?''
''I don't know what you are talking about.'' Vincent replied and picked the fork with his left hand.
Sabrina looked at herself in the mirror and sighed. ''Sabrina, what were you doing? Can't you do one thing right? He is going to think you are trying to seduce him again…''
''I highly doubt that.'' Adelaide walked in and stood next to Sabrina.
''Adelaide, what are you doing here?'' Sabrina asked.
''I came to check on you. Are you alright?''
''No! I feel so embarrassed right now. He is going to think I'm taking advantage of him.''
''That's not true. Do you like Vincent?''
''No! I don't like him. He is not my… type.'' Sabrina replied.
''Really? But you two look good together.''
Sabrina shook her head. ''We should go back before the food gets cold.''
''Alright!'' Adelaide smiled.
When they returned, Sabrina sat down and ate her food in silence. She didn't really eat that much because she was still feeling embarrassed by the situation.
After the meal, as they walked out of the room, Adelaide held Sabrina's hand saying. ''Sabrina, the men will be busy tomorrow. Since you are in my hometown, how about I take you on a tour to the popular and beautiful places in Milan?''
''Are you from Milan?''
''Yes, this is my hometown.''
''I would love to but I came here to be Vincent's translator and…'' Sabrina turned to look at Vincent.
''You can go.'' Vincent interrupted Sabrina's words.
''Really?'' She sounded excited.
''Yes, you can go. Since you are here, it will be a shame to not visit places.''
''Alright!'' Sabrina smiled.
''Then, it's a deal. Tomorrow, I will pick you up and we will go out. There are a lot of nice places and street foods here that you can enjoy.''
''Okay!''
Seeing her excitement, Vincent smiled.
Sabrina and Vincent said their goodbyes to Pat and Adelaide at the lobby since their rooms were in opposite directions. Sabrina turned and followed Vincent towards their rooms.
Vincent purposely walked slowly so that Sabrina would catch up. When she got closer, their steps mirrored each other as they walked.
Vincent sent Sabrina to her room first. ''Go in!''
''Mm!'' Sabrina removed her card and opened the door. She turned and saw Vincent watching her.
''Mr. Maraj, it was a mistake. I hope you didn't think I was trying to take advantage of you again, right?'' Sabrina asked. What happened had been weighing her down and she couldn't even eat well.
''Didn't you say I am not your type?'' Vincent asked.
''Huh?''
''If I am not your type, then, what happened shouldn't bother you that much. No?''
''I…'' Sabrina blushed and lowered her gaze.
''If really, I am not your type, then, don't let it bother you. It was nothing.'' Vincent added before turning to leave.
''What does he mean?'' Sabrina looked at him. ''Should it bother me if he is my type?''
Sabrina shook her head and went inside.
A while later…
''What does he mean by that? Darling, why do I find it difficult to understand this man the more I get to know him?'' Sabrina walked out of the bathroom with her bathrobe on. She sat on her bed and opened a pack of biscuits to eat.
''A man like Vincent isn't to be understood. In any case, it's beneficial for you to stay next to him.''
''True. Luckily, I brought my salted potato biscuits. I am so hungry.'' Sabrina robbed her stomach.
''Will that satisfy you? Why don't you call room service?'' Tia suggested.
''Aye, that will be a bother…'' Sabrina turned towards the door when she heard a knock on it. ''Darling, hold on. There is someone at the door.''
''Someone at the door, this late? Darling, check the intercom before you open the door.''
''Alright! Oh, it's one of the room attendants.'' Sabrina checked the intercom before opening the door.
''Miss Sabrina, this is room service.'' The waiter behind the trolley said.
''Huh? Room service? But I didn't order for room service.''
''Mr. Maraj did. He asked us to bring you this.'' The waiter pulled the trolley inside and bowed. ''Have a nice evening.'' He added before leaving.
''Darling, what is the situation?'' Tia asked.
''Darling, Mr. Maraj just ordered room service for me. It's steak!'' Sabrina opened the lid.
''Steak?''
''Yes. I can't believe how tender the meat look. Darling, let's talk tomorrow. I'm hungry.'' Sabrina ended the call and pulled a chair to sit down.
''Did he order this for me because he noticed I didn't eat my food earlier on? This man is nicer than I thought. I'll give him five points.''
Sabrina took a picture of the steak and sent it to Vincent, adding a message.
''A kind boss who takes care of his worker. Thank you for the steak.'' She placed the phone aside and started eating.
When Vincent received the message, he chuckled and shook his head.
