New Recruits
We have new recruits and will start the trainings with you today… Prince Ahkmed Hadukin, Yogi Imako and Haley Sombers. Welcome to the Academy Akhmed, Yogi and Haley! Ericka, Ren and Miles will be escorting you to your quarters. Dinner will be served at six. Your uniforms will be placed on your beds, wear them to dinner later. See you then!, Head Master Eco said.
One thousand candidates applied to become a flighter but out of the one thousand three hundred were left. Then, a couple of months after, two hundred, then one hundred and finally twenty. Now, we are only ten but since we have gone out to exterminate BTs and VCs, some Flighters didn't want to go back on neither Wet or Dry Lands. They were so scared to face the creatures some either peed their pants or went crazy after battling strange and slimy monsters with us. Haa…I hope you all survive the tests and after dinner, we can take a walk out of the academy grounds for you to see the dorms and peaceful city of DG-1, Ericka explained. Ren held Hayley's hand and Miles placed his arm around Prince Akhmed. Are you really a prince? They said you are the crown prince of Dubai, that's awesome!
I wanted to join the academy because of a friend who died wanting to enlist. But since she isn't here anymore, I am her replacement and as a model I don't know how to kill but I'm willing to do it for my friend and to help you save the world!, Hayley cried.
Well, it's not all fun and games but it's great to fight for others sake since we can do it! Ericka replied smiling.
Yes, I am the crown prince but since still young to take the throne I asked my brothers to let me enlist as a DOG first and vowed to stay alive and take the throne when I 'm worthy enough to do so. Being a Flighter would help me build my self-confidence and transform myself into an invincible soldier, ready to take any one, creature or monster in front of me. And being King is I think much worse or scary than becoming a DOG really! Haha!, Akhmed added and looked at Miles seriously.
Well, I have fought 'bacas' for years and I haven't been so scared for my life and Ericka's life. It is not a joke and you all know that every time we get out of the hangars, we risk our lives for the sake of the cause, the world and humanity?, Miles explained and now sitting on the grassy part of the academy's garden.
Is it true that you are a model Hayley, that would so awesome. I wanted to try out for UK's top model but unfortunately I ended up here yet I didn't think twice since I love the thrill battles give me. It's so exuberating I can't get enough of it, really!, Ren said while running and looking up at the thousands of stars lining up the sky.
What a beautiful night!, wow! I haven't seen so many stars this close. My goodness!, Hayley added and smiled. Yes I am a model but it's all walks and poses, connecting to your audience and fashion enthusiasts. It's good while it last but I think it'll surpass this adventure I'm going to enjoy for sure as a DOGS flighter. With you guys with me, there's no doubt about it!
Hmm….I know what you mean!, Ericka said and looked at Yogi trying to remember where she saw the guy. And by the look of her face she suddenly blushed and pointed at Yogi. You are part of this boy group called FY1. You are that singer who seldom smiles huh, am I right?
Huh, you got me there. Yup and what it is to you?, Yogi added. Ah..can I get your authograph, my mom loves your group and wishes to see your concert someday. I didn't think mom would love a band but when she saw one of your videos with that Korean pop idol moves. She flipped and now she wouldn't let me sleep since she knew over the news that you're joining DOGS. Hahaha…ah…please, Yogi for me!?, Ericka said begging the star.
Ah, sure, okay!, Yogi replied and when he couldn't find a pen, Ericka pulled one from her pocket and held a tablet where the famous singer can write his signature. Yogi signed the tablet calmly then gave it to Ericka whose face lit up when she saw the note stating. Thanks for the follow and I love you….
Thank you, Yogi, this means so much to me and can I treat you for coffee, tea or….me?, Ericka said and Yogi looked at her with disdain and said no immediately. The girl gave a cry and felt she couldn't walk towards the school lawn like the failed actress filling a part in a drama or something.
Snap out of it Ericka! Wait, where's Akhmed and Miles?, Ren said and the group looked from left to right to check on the boys who went ahead of them to the school's front lawn.
Wow, this place is amazing! So you always see Andromeda from this angle?, Akhmed said. Yes, and it's really something special. Haaa…I wonder if there are beings like us in Sufi? You heard about the experiments, right!?, Miles added.
Yeah, I heard. I'm sure it's already on your list to try out to become TOV for that project? It's all over the news and choosing the top eight for that launch is crucial, Akhmed replied while walking with Miles towards the center of the field.
It sure is and I can't wait to accept the challenge!, Miles said with eagerness.
