Ch-39:Invasion Begins

On Raon's way to his destination, he heard tons of rumors and information regarding Fenlie Zwigo, who was said to be a woman's conqueror as well as the strongest person.

It didn't take long for Raon to connect the dots as he looked at Altair with mixed emotions, who turned to look back at him and just smiled, not understanding his emotions.

She was the first person who ought to ask him about this sudden maneuver to another place, yet all she did was gather the ones needed and talents that should be taken along.

Raon had no clue regarding the guy and decided to not risk it in the slightest since it concerned his daughter's well-being and decided to leave the continent.

Unbeknownst to everyone, Raon took them to a concealed formation that was only known to the ones who built a castle in an isolated place away from prying eyes.

It was located on an isolated continent controlled by demon beasts, and Raon had told them to take over both empires in return for residence on their continent.

Only the people involved were aware that Raon spent resources and materials to build a proper towering castle across a gigantic mountain range.

The overall structures were well-rounded, as they also had places for around a billion people to live that were centered around a tall mountain circled by short mountains.

The valleys and short mountains didn't have structures built, but what they did have were various materials required for building as well as cultivation.

He had not forgotten that he housed cultivators irrespective of their strength, so in times of crisis, it could be used as an emergency second base.

Nothing changed for the cultivators, who were forced to leave their businesses and come here, as they had to follow all orders to live here except to leave everything they had over there.

Raon didn't explain his motives or the reason for the suddenness, but who could complain to the strongest person as well as the one who publicized the secretive cultivation manuals?

They already understood that if not for him, they would have never gotten their strength, and hence they didn't resist or question him regarding the reason for leaving everything behind.

Raon wasn't completely heartless, though, as he allowed the ones that he wanted to take to bring their families, friends, or any other loved ones together with them.

Unfortunately, there weren't enough residences built there, so they had to do that for themselves inside the mountain range, as it had a protection formation that prevented any beasts from attacking them.

Of course, if they had to procure materials or anything, they would have to go outside the protection formation and risk their lives, but due to Raon's deal, strong demon beasts had already left the region.

It was not like the demon beasts were given those regions, as they were still fighting a three-way war with two empires, so naturally, Raon also got only a small safe place that he had cleared of stray demon beasts.

The castle that he built was on a six thousand-meter-tall mountain, as the other mountains around ranged from a few hundred meters to four thousand meters.

The castle was built to be five hundred meters tall with multiple stories and rooms to house nearly half a million people by itself alone, as other residences were built when scaling the mountain.

Everything was connected with an intricate network that used the mountain's midpoint as the focus of travel across the entire mountain range.

The huge number of cultivators accelerated the progress of construction and annexation, and almost all the people had huge homes across the mountain range.

Raon prevented them from building houses on the outskirts that fell just next to the protection formation as it was being fortified to prevent any sneak attacks on the core region.

There was no other interference from Raon, as he felt that it didn't affect him in the slightest how they lived as long as no fights occurred under him, and he left the rest to Altair.

This time, he wasn't going to sit around and go to different continents whose coordinates he had and had sneaked teleportation formations into seeking information regarding this Fenlie Zwigo.

He would have loved to slack off and use his shadows, but he needed people to maintain order, and some of the shadows were already gathering information.

Using various disguises, money, resources, and torturous interrogation, Raon gathered all the information that he desired for now as he went about to meet the people mentioned in the information.

He was awfully aware that he could not win against Fenlie Zwigo, who was finding him throughout the continents on their planet. To counterattack, he went ahead to meet the ones who had hatred for Zwigo.

Zwigo had slept with countless women, irrespective of their wishes, gathering the ire of countless men, and despite his culling of their husbands or other rebellious family members, there were countless haters.

Raon just gathered the ones who felt they were wronged and, with a little bit of incitement, shifted their allegiance to him, increasing the number of his empire's subjects.

For the next few years, Raon did exactly that, as his Agat Empire had grown to have a large population in the billions as he spent countless resources to bring them to the demon-beast continent.

Of course, without his two generals and Altair, who maintained order in his absence, it would have been complete chaos inside the small region that he now ruled without personally ruling it.

This did not mean to say that it was smooth sailing, as Raon had to filter out the spies and send them for interrogation when he asked them to sign soul-binding contracts with someone in the Empire.

Raon wasn't crazy enough to sign so many contracts that his soul itself felt burdened, even if it didn't affect him much for now. That didn't mean he wanted to measure the absolute limit.

After treacherous hard work for countless years, Raon reached the limit of cultivation in this world and was on the verge of ascending, yet he could not do that due to the existence of Zwigo.

On one such evening of reminiscence, he felt the world itself seem to push him outside to the upper realm, yet Raon held on against the natural way of cultivation that caused him severe backlash.

Unfortunately, at the same time, Raon suffered from the backlash, the continent the Agat Empire was on was finally invaded by Zwigo's followers or his brethren, whichever you may like to call them, to take over the untapped resources of the continent for Zwigo.
