Do You Think I Like Being You?

Elma's POV:

I left Dad's enterprise and walked to the car when Anthony followed me outside "Elma." He kept calling, but I didn't stop until he caught up with me.

"What's wrong with you?" he yelled, and I chuckled.

"Don't raise a tone at me."

"Everyone in there was older than you; you should respect your family," he kept giving me lectures as always.

"What family? I don't have any family."

"Then what about me and the kids? Even if we get divorced, aren't we still your family?"

"Don't get me wrong, but you are the man I hate the most in this world, so I don't even want to wake up one day and see your face."

"Why? Is it because people judge you but don't judge me? I thought about your question and..."

"What question? And what do you mean by people judging me? Do you think I am some psychopath or villain, or perhaps a charity case?" I sneered before pulling the car door open.

"Stay away from me, Anthony; don't show your face to me," I scoffed before getting into the car, which drove away.

"To Wistold Enterprise," I ordered the driver, and he nodded before driving in silence.

That's when I received a call from Jacob, and it got connected: "Have you thought about my offer? The clock is ticking."

"What offer?"

"Don't play dumb... Wait, it's Elma," he said out of realization, and I ended the call. It turned out he wanted to talk to Sarah. And if he knew that Sarah was taking my place, then did he tell anyone about it?

We arrived at the company, and I walked in with those dumb security guards greeting me. I scoffed in their faces before taking the elevator upstairs.

Once I got upstairs, Unise hurried towards me. "Good morning, ma'am," she said.

"Get me coffee."

Then I walked to my office, pulled the drawer, and took out a bundle of keys and kept in my bag. I also saw some drawing papers. I checked and saw it was kid designs. I had told Sarah not to do anything.

I hope she isn't planning on giving any collection for the KC event "Ma'am, your coffee." Unise placed the coffee in front of me. I frowned, seeing that it was not cocoa coffee, so I pushed it down, and the coffee cup shattered into countless pieces and the coffee splashed down.

"Get me cocoa coffee, idiot," I scolded, and she nodded before hurrying outside.

I massaged my head in frustration; this was why I didn't want to come back here. It was so stressful, I just wanted to go back to Alabama and continue the peaceful life.

Then I stood in front of the door and saw that everyone was busy, so I hurried to Anthony's office pulled open his table drawer, and searched for some documents.

Luckily, I found the blue document and took it out before taking a photo of all the copies and keeping the document again.

But before I turned to leave, I spotted some drawings on the table. It either belonged to Nel or Sarah; let me see how they go about this KC event without any collection.

So I took the jar of water and turned on the designs; once it was completely ruined, I left the office and the company as well.

In front of the company, I bumped into Nel. I chuckled before smacking my lips. "Nel," I called, and she raised a brow.

"What? Did you recover so early after I stole your design?" She questioned, and I thought for a while, she did it again. She stole Sarah's design and presented it as hers. This made me burst out in laughter.

"You haven't changed one bit, Nel, for the sake of Anthony... Try and change. He doesn't like dishonest women," I said mockingly.

"Is that why he chose to leave you?" She retorted, and I chuckled.

"Anthony wants me, and if I wanted, I could wrap him around my fingers and keep him as my husband. But I feel bad for those with less privilege; I feel bad for those with no one to love them. That's why I am letting Anthony be your man; isn't that generous of me?"

"You are crazy," she gritted her teeth angrily, and I shrugged my shoulders. Everyone calls me crazy, so it's no surprise.

"I hope you bought your drawing pencil because today you will draw. And I also hope you have a retentive memory." I smiled at her; it wasn't her design, so let me see how she drew it back once Anthony asked for it.

"What are you talking about?"

"You will find out soon." I walked to the car and got in before waving at Nel.

That woman was such a nuisance; if only she knew the type of person Anthony was, then she wouldn't be doing everything in her power to get his attention.

After a long drive, I arrived at the hotel and went upstairs to my room. I pushed the door open, and I found Sarah watching a movie.

I walked closer and pushed her to the ground. "Hey," she scolded. I grabbed her hair angrily.

"Don't you dare mess with my identity and the deal you made with Jacob? It better not involve double-crossing me; we might have the same face but not the same thoughts. I will kill you if you try to mess with me," I warned angrily, and she pushed me before standing up.

"I didn't make any deal with Jacob, and do you think I like being you? Another thing that is more messed up than your brain is your life; it's a mess," she sneered, I didn't feel bad because she was right, and that's why I left to gain my peace of mind.

"When you go back to being me, ignore Anthony. Ignore my entire family and don't answer their call or exchange words with them; hit Nel so hard if she tries bickering," I explained, and I hope she will do as I said.

"Be Elma; don't have any soft spots for anyone. If you mess up, then the first person who will be going to jail will be your dad."
