“Quite the welcome.” Ryker murmured softly.

But he understood Governor Elis’ conflicting emotions about the whole situation. He was losing something important for the sake of the greater good.

And it was probably made worse by the fact Governor Elis didn't understand what exactly was going on. Just that someone powerful was after something and it was hidden in the Mors Springs.

Ryker had purposely made it that way through. If too many people knew what was happening, they'd lose their advantage of surprise.

There was also the fact that there could be mass panic over the rise of a dark witch. They didn't need another witch hunt on their hands.

The last one had caused enough grief and was the reason Westerwyn was the way it was.

Ryker shook his head. He was losing focus and needed to get back to finding Hale's Text.

“Governor, are there any important stones or areas here?” Ryker asked as they neared the springs.
