As Amara searched for her father, her mind raced with worry and fear. Each passing moment without finding him intensified her anxiety. She checked every corner of the hospital, calling out for him, hoping for a response. But the only reply was the echo of her own voice in the empty corridors.
Finally, she spotted a familiar figure in the distance. It was her father, walking briskly towards the emergency ward.
Relieved yet puzzled, Amara quickened her pace to catch up with him.
"Dad, what happened? Why didn't you respond to my calls?" Amara asked, her voice trembling with concern.
Harry turned around, his expression grave. "There's been an emergency, Amara. We need to act fast."
Without another word, they rushed into the emergency ward, where chaos awaited them. The sight of doctors and nurses bustling around patients filled Amara with a sense of urgency. She followed her father's lead, assisting wherever she could, pushing aside her own fears to focus on helping those in need, while her mother joined in.
As they worked tirelessly to stabilize the patients, Amara couldn't shake off the feeling of being watched. The memory of the mysterious figure observing her mother sent shivers down her spine. But amidst the chaos, she had no time to dwell on her own worries.
Hours passed, and finally, the emergency situation began to calm down as the patients survived the huge accident, with miserable injuries. Amara and her parents took a moment to catch their breath, leaning against the wall in exhaustion.
Amara though felt relieved by the established calmness, worry still remained. She can't let her guard down. There's something sinister happening here, and she need to stay vigilant.
With a heavy heart, Amara motivated herself. Knowing that their troubles were far from over. But she also knew that as long as she stood stronger, she could face whatever challenges that lay ahead.
And, she had a support now.
Suddenly her mobile ringed, halting her thoughts briefly.
It was Sarah.
"Hey, Sarah!"
"Am, we are waiting at the exit, how long will it take for you to come out? We didn't even meet this morning!"
Amara hissed, "I forgot to inform, I decided to take out some time to assist my parents in hospital! I won't be coming for some days!"
After a brief silence, Sarah spoke, "That's so sudden, well I fear it would affect your finals?!"
Amara smiled, "Worry not, I'm prepared! Talk to you later though!"
Sarah with a nod murmured her approval, "Bye!"
Amara with a smile hung the call.
Isobel and Harry looked at her, "Your friends are missing you perhaps!" Isobel said with a smile.
Amara just smiled back faintly.

As Amara hung the call, Sarah with a pout, stared Ralph, "We cannot see her for few days I guess."
"And why so?" Ralph wondered.
"Assisting aunt and uncle!!"
Ralph nodded at himself, "How unlike you! You should learn something from her and help your aunt and uncle too!!"
Sarah glared him annoyed, "Only if you spare some time master, for, my entire life passes away just by picking you up and dropping!!"
Ralph chuckled, "What do I do my disciple, I cannot withstand anything without you!!" he said dramatically.
Sarah stared him for a moment in silence before looking away, murmuring "Disciple, your foot!!". She turned back nodding her head, "Let's then get going master, I fear we would get home late!!"
Ralph smiled wide as he nodded, for which she chuckled.

"Do you have a night shift today?!" Amara asked as they headed back from emergency ward after appreciating the staff for the readiness they had upon taking up the urgency.
"I don't have any!" Isobel said with a shrug.
Amara nodded then turning to look at her father.
Harry pondered, "I have a surgery to attend!!"
Amara sighed, "We both would wait then!!"
Harry with a smile tucked her hair, "As you wish!" he said softly, "I'll get going, take care of my wife huh!"
Amara chuckled, "Yes, sir!!" saying it like a soldier with a salute.
Harry with a smile left and it was both the ladies who were left behind now.
They both headed back to the anesthesiology department and as the time passed, sun had declared its set already, the staff in the department leaving. And it's just the both of them now.
As time passed by, Amara's tension increased, her mother was safe with her, however her father wasn't with her. After what she witnessed, she badly wanted to take her parents back to home. She now wouldn't mind having a house arrest if needed. She just wanted them safe and sound.
"I forgot, did you inform your uncle about the cancellation of plan?!" Isobel enquired looking up from the file she was studying.
Amara didn't respond, too lost in her own thoughts.
Isobel frowned, calling her again.
"Huh?" Amara looked disturbed.
"Did you even hear me?!"
Amara pondered, "I'm sorry, I fear I didn't!"
Isobel chuckled, how formal, "I was asking whether you had informed your uncle about the plan getting cancelled or not!"
Amara took a pause, well she didn't, and decided not to! After the dream, she knew everything was going as it went two years ago. Changing the plans ahead wouldn't work, let the enemies stick to the plan, she will just let them play the same. "I did!" She lied effortlessly.
Isobel nodded, however, with a hiss she took off her spects, "What are you so lost in, Amara?"
"I'm just tired!" She lied again.
Isobel shook her head, wearing back her spects,"Already?!" she laughed, "Let me get a cup of coffee for you then!" she said attempting to raise from her seat.
"No!" Amara almost screamed, startling her mother!
"God, what's with you?!"
Amara cleared her voice, "You are busy already, let me do it instead!!" she said with a weary smile, getting up from her seat, "Stay back here until then, don't go.... anywhere!!"
Isobel leaned in, "You behave like your grandmother suddenly, what's with this restricting behaviour of yours?!"
Amara rolled her eyes, "My dear mother, it's just your daughter who's concerned about you." she said with a wink, "Now excuse your daughter so she could get you a cup of coffee!!"
Isobel shook her head while Amara left, making sure to lock the door. The entire time she waited for her order, she kept checking on her mother through the camera recording she synced with her mobile previously, while checking the footage.
Amara with meticulous steps then reached back to her mother, handing her the coffee.
They had the drink and later on Isobel's suggestion, played chess, for time pass.
Amara already lost two times in a row, wondering her mother.
"It's surprising, are you letting me win on purpose?!"
Amara gave out a faint smile, only if she knew what was in her mind.
As they played another one, a voice soon reached them, "Quite a time pass?!" Harry walked towards them loosening his tie, already feeling tired.
Isobel and Amara responded in unison.
"Are you done?"
"Are you alright?!"
However, Amara's question wondered them, "I'm done and.... completely alright?" Harry chuckled.
Amara smiled, "Shall we go home?"
Harry nodded and so Isobel!
She then drove to home, her father appreciating her for her assistance today, while in drive, "I love the spirit you have at work. It was great to see you treating people!!"
Isobel agreed, "However, it's okay to take some time dear, you see how tired you have made yourself?!"
Amara smiled through pain, the reason behind her tiredness being something else, "You don't know how much of a contentment would I get just by being with you guys! I'll never get tired of being with you!!"
Her response somehow worried her parents.
After getting home, they all got up fresh, and prepared the dinner together.
Having a peaceful meal, her parents later left to rest.
However she again found herself seated on the bench in her balcony.
Scrolling through the photos she clicked and the recordings she copied, she was sure now. He was the man, the driver, from the scene the paper has showed.
"You are lost in thoughts again!!" Zamiel who appeared again, seated beside her, said as though he complained.
This time Amara didn't panic, noticing her bracelet again shining in green, she turned to face him, showing him the recording. "I failed to catch him!!" She said disappointed.
Zamiel after observing, turned to her, "Did you chase him?"
Amara nodded, looking down at her hands.
He sighed.
"Only if I had caught him...."
"I suggest you to not!!" He denied softly.
She looked at him wondered, "Why?!"
"I do not want you to let them know you are aware of their presence, and....also do I not wish you to put yourself in trouble!!"
Amara remained silent.
"I understand your want to take a revenge for the miserable fate they had given you, but, this is not the right time!!" He said, gently taking her hand, "And when the time comes, trust me, I won't stop you. I'll instead fight with you!! But until then, please take care!!".
Amara found his voice soothing as he said it with a squeeze at her hand, "Your presence strangely comforts me!!" she confessed.
