Silent Longings!!

Isobel and Harry noticed a concerned look over their daughter's face when she returned, "What happened?" Isobel asked.

Amara looked down at the floor as she remembered the look on Oliver's face, "I fear we made him feel left out!!" she admitted.

Sarah and Ralph were silent, questioning themselves about its reality.

Harry with a sigh, reached her, his hand resting on her shoulder as he made her walk back along with him. "He isn't as sensitive as you see him as, Amara. Moreover, he would know the truth however in future. If you ask me, I would rather say, it's your fault that you've all kept the truth from him!!"

Amara stared her father blankly, having him putting a blame on her almost for the first time, feeling both good and bad about it at once.

"It isn't the truth that might have hurt or bothered him but the fact that you've all been keeping things from him!!" Harry said with a shrug as he let his daughter have her seat, Isobel nodding in agreement. Harry's gaze now settled on all the three friends. "You're all a team and he would be expecting nothing but transperancy and loyalty from you three, wouldn't he?"

Amara looked down the floor again, Sarah and Ralph as well feeling bad, did they really have made a mistake?!

"No worries," Harry sighed, "as much intuitive as I'm about him, he will get over it. Not a man to hold onto things for long!!" he said cheering.

Amara and her friends only hoped so.

"Nothing can change your relation with him except the change in your behaviour and attitude, which I doubt would happen, so rest ease!!" Isobel assured them.

Sarah and Ralph nodded, Amara nodding at herself as if absorbing everything her parents said, her gaze still down.

While Isobel and Harry exchanged a glance of pain and worry, knowing the future. They were sure another situation like this will occur in future and, their daughter might end up blaming them. Heavy feeling settling in their hearts by the mere thought.

As Casper had himself appear in the demon god's cave, witnessing his lord again having himself deeply emerged in meditation.

"Greetings," he greeted, declaring his presence and seeking attention, "my lord!!"

Tamas slowly opened his eyes, his gaze settling onto the man, "Here to discuss about the immortal again?!" he asked calmly.

Casper sighed, "Lord Tamas, he has a strong survival will, no matter how severely is he getting injured by the demons, he's not accepting defeat!!"

Tamas chuckled, "Something to appreciate, then!!"

"However, I do not believe you've come all the way here, just to praise him?"

Casper took a pause before letting it out, "It is to express my thoughts, my lord!"

"Voice it!" Tamas allowed.

Casper with a bow voiced his question, "The hatred of the demons is nothing when compared to you, I wonder, why would you stay unbothered by his presence?"

Tamas laughed, "What do you expect me to fight him?!" with a shook, "Do you think he will stand a chance, to even survive?!"

Casper remained silent, he knew the answer.

Tamas sighed, "Moreover, I do not have any rivalry with him!" he said as he leaned back against the wall, "It is just that I wanted my people to have some encouragement to live that I didn't stop them." his voice turning serious, "For there might be a future unknown, full of blood, sweat and tears, again!!"

Casper was surprised to hear that, he knew his master had the ability to look ahead into the future with the deep meditation, but what about this sudden prediction? "What do you mean...master?"

"I had fragments of visions Casper, a chaos happened and a chaos will happen!!" He sighed, "For sure!!"

"I fear it's another war between immortals and demons!!" Casper expressed for which Tamas shook his head, "That's something much more than the war we have gone through, Casper!!" his voice deep as he remembered the glimpses of what he had seen.

Tamas still couldn't shake away the feeling, how he felt the presence of all the dark and negative forces at action in his vision. He knew, the darkness, has the ability to swallow up the light, spread the chaos, however, despite being the darkness himself, he believed light will always shine over the dark. Piercing the essence of darkness with its presence.

With a sigh, Tamas shut his eyes again, meditating.

Casper watched him for a second more before bowing to him, disappearing from the view, providing the privacy his master needed.

The more Zamiel walked ahead, the more was he stepping into the depths of the nether world. Not only demons, but few monsters as well attacked him. The dangerous one was the shape-shifting monster which constantly kept manipulating him, shifting itself into any possible thing and attacking him out of blue. Having had enough, Zamiel choosing to take advantage of his invisibility trait, thought no more and just killed it in a one go. Aed; his sword, piercing its heart with a burning fire, turning the creature into ashes instantly.

Catching his breath, he thought to take some rest but for no avail, as soon Casper appeared, leisurely leaning against a huge rock as he watched him with a smirk.

Zamiel attempted to move however, the man's voice halted him.

"Such a strong survival spirit, still not enough with your long life?!" Casper chuckled.

Zamiel paid no heed, ignorant towards providing any esponse.

"Whom am I even asking," Casper chuckled again, "a human who had turned himself into an immortal out of greediness over long life?!" he laughed.

Zamiel sighed, "This surely might be enjoyable for you I guess, but I understand," he nodded to himself, "the craving to talk to someone?!"

Casper gave him a disgusting side eye, "Watch your words!"

"I wish I could say back the same," Zamiel shook his head, "feeling helpless for my morals interferes!!" he sighed.

Casper glared him as if he was about to pick up a fight, however, a laugh soon escaped him surprising Zamiel. "Alright, your behaviour is appreciable! However, your morals wouldn't establish any foundation for friendship between us!!"

"Neither would it lead to any rivalry!!" Zamiel shrugged, "Isn't it a win-win?!"

Casper nodded with a smirk, "I wish you all the luck for the rest of the month!!" his smirk widened into a sinister one, throwing another glance at him just before disappearing from his view.

Zamiel sighed, why did the man even show up and talk if not for a fight?!

************

It was already two days and Amara still couldn't meet Zamiel yet. Those uncountable trials to summon him through bracelet were a failure, she kept gazing it for long times getting lost of herself, thinking about him for hours.

His absence only said her he was into something very important, and she promised to wait.

Despite her suppressed feelings, she felt better spending her time with her parents and friends instead. Her mother cooked delicious meals for her every now and then, her father spending time with her in the evenings, in the garden. Amara resumed her work life, she felt sad for leaving her parents behind at home, for they never compromised with their work. However she couldn't compromise with their safety either, until she gets everything settled with the problem, and assurance from Zamiel that everything's back to normal, she can never let strangers know about her parents.

She knew her parents were slightly disappointed about being restricted to work in their own hospital but they were understanding enough to accept it.

Amara felt quite sad for making Oliver feel left out as well. She, Sarah and Ralph thought of everything possible to make the man feel normal.

However, it seemed out that the efforts were unnecessary, for, Oliver remained and treated them the same. Of course, Amara noticed a glimpse of hesitation in his eyes the next day after the incident, yet, it took them no time to feel at ease around each other.

Today, Amara was early to office, as usual. As she took her seat, arranging her desk, silence echoed in loud. Her fingers caressing the bracelet again, an act she kept repeating almost every now and then in the past two days. "When will you return, Zamiel?!" She questioned herself in a whisper, her head falling back, resting against the edge of the chair's head, "I am missing you a lot!" Amara admitted.

The door creaked open, Oliver who just arrived, seeking her attention.

"Good morning, Oliver!!" Amara greeted with a smile.

"Very goodmorning, head!!" Oliver smiled, placing his bag on his desk, "You're early again!"

Amara smiled, "Somethings never change," she shrugged, "just like how Sarah and Ralph can never make it to work on time!!"

Oliver laughed, making her laugh as well.

A knock on the door disturbed them momentarily, their gaze shifting towards the entrance curiously.

"There's a declaration letter for someone from this department, Mam!!" The staff guy informed.

Oliver and Amara exchanged a look before the man took the letter.

As soon as the guy left, "For who?!" Amara wondered.

Oliver's gaze narrowed as he read his own name in the information provided on the pack. "It says, for....me!!"

For him?!

Amara raising from her seat, reached him as he read the letter after uncovering it. Watching his expression change, Amara could only wonder what made him smile all of a sudden. "What's it about?!" She enquired as she reached further closer, however, Amara got startled when Oliver out of blue, embraced her. Her widened eyes; her only instant response.
