The Reveal!

Damien couldn't comprehend the sudden turn of events, and the helplessness only elevating his frustration.

His meticulously laid out plan ending up futile.

And how?!

Did the woman..... acknowledge the truth already?!

Or....did something happen which he is yet to discover?!

Determined to uncover the truth, Damien awakened his demonic powers, scanning through past and present events in search of answers. However, his efforts proved futile once more as a mysterious force restrained his actions.

With a frustrated sigh, Damien shoved away the vision, the excessively applied force breaking down the window ahead.

What exactly is happening?!

What is this power that's restraining him?! Completely unwilling to accept his defeat, Damien teleported to Amara's house, in an instant, deciding to acknowledge the truth himself.

After what happened, he cannot trust Feng. The man though was bound to his words, did go against him. The way he backfired still disturbing him.

A conceited chuckle escaped him, he didn't mind having anyone against his way to his ultimate goal. He would just put an end for good!!

As he stood there, infront of the woman's house, the hushed environment welcomed him.

The silver moon cast long shadows across the silent street, while a cool breeze carried the faint scent of blooming night jasmine.

The calmness he is experiencing, disturbed him to the core.

He swiftly tried to enter the house however, a strong barrier restricted him from doing so, pushing him away. Surprising him.

What's with that?!

Damien seemed to be thoughtful for a second before applying his demonic power, a blood red force discharging from his hand, however clashing with the another strong golden yellow force which began to appear by the act. And soon the force revealed itself, surrounding the entire house, like a protective sheild.

Within seconds, the power whose origin he didn't yet know, pushed him away, for the second time, this time making him cough out a mouthful of blood.

Damien feeling flabbergasted at the situation, wondered who had created such a strong barrier?!

His palms balling up into fists in anger and an unknown voice grabbed his attention; "Welcome!"

Damien turned back only to witness a young man leaning against the wall, his right leg pushing the wall for support as he stood on single leg.

"Searching for something?" Zamiel questions with a smile, while his hands still resting in his pockets.

"Who are you?" Damien threatened an answer.

Zamiel nodded thoughtfully, looking up at the sky briefly, "The one you were.... curious about! Well I could show you the wishful!!" he chuckled, soon a projection of Amara and her parents playing in the air, their happiness echoing loud enough.

"Is she whom you are searching for? Well, she's busy being happy, you could fix the appointment for later!!" Zamiel chuckled.

Damien felt his blood boil under his skin to see the woman's contentment, she tortured him for centuries while he could only take the revenge of just few years?! No! No!! He would just kill her, all for once! He would just kill her!!! His mind screamed as his hand almost immediately stretched out, as though trying to hold the woman's throat, to choke her to death.

However, before even the man could even touch her reflection, Zamiel erased the projection with just a snap, pulling himself up against the wall. "Don't you dare!!" He warned.

Damien's eyes turned into bloody red, representing the blend of his frustration and anger.

Zamiel smiled, his gaze which turned golden now, never leaving his.

"Who are you? Did you do this?! How could you??" Damien almost yelled, finding it difficult to believe the truth.

Zamiel hissed, his little finger covering his ear, "Speak low, they all are sleeping!!" He said gently with a smile.

The smile which only annoyed Damien even more.

Zamiel sighed, "We have so much in common. Look at us, we both are curious about eachother, and seems like...." he turned towards the house, looking at the window of the woman's room briefly before returning his gaze towards the man, "....we keep thinking about the same woman!!"

Damien's clenched teeth expressed his disgust, "Whoever you are, you made a mistake of helping her, and you'll pay for it!! I'll make you pay for it!!"

Zamiel smiled, "The lady is having a peaceful sleep after years of sleepless nights thanks to you. I won't let you disturb her again" his voice so sweet like a lullaby. Just if his actions were too, cause Zamiel out of blue, attacked the man, charging towards him with a force Damien couldn't get a hold of, a golden light emanating his actions as he pushed the man, teleporting the man with himself into a forest, running deep into the forest and giving him a final push for which the man fell off, clashing against the ground.

Damien coughed out another mouthful of blood, however, a rush of realisation hit him. He wasn't her kind as he thought of till now?!

He was....an immortal?!

What relation exists between her kind and immortals?!

No possible theory could answer him.

"Why did you do it?!" Zamiel threatened an answer now, his once pleasant smile completely vanishing.

"What makes you question me that?!" Damien chuckled, getting on his feet, wiping the blood with his sleeve as he walked towards him.

"Who are you? How could she surprisingly manage to get hold of an immortal?" Damien laughed as he walked, "Did she realise there was nothing she could do, if not already?!"

Zamiel looked away, trying to control his anger.

Damien crossed the distance with unstoppable speed, holding Zamiel by throat.

The attack came by surprise and Zamiel couldn't dodge it.

"How did she reach you???" Damien asked.

Zamiel rolled his eyes, trying to get away from his hold as he choked him.

"How could I, Damien, fail to a mere wi..."

"Your name alone is unpleasant!!" Zamiel cut him off!!

Damien chuckled, "You..." however, something struck him, why did this man's face seemed recognizable with this close?! Whom is he resembling with?

Damien lost for a second in thoughts as he went deeper into the past, his hold on Zamiel loosening a bit, wondering him.

Realisation hit him at once, a devilish smile taking over, "I see ...." Damien chuckled again, "I see now why you choose to help your wife!!"

Zamiel's eyes widened, "What do you.... mean?"

"Oh? Isn't she your wife?" Damien questioned with a laugh again.

Zamiel pushed away his hand, turning him around, holding him, by throat now. "Who are you??"

"How do you know about Heaven??"

"Oh we had an issue, I'm dealing with it right now!!" Damien said sarcastically.

Zamiel couldn't comprehend it well, pressurising his hold, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN??" his voice raised.

Damien chuckled, pushing the man away with his demonic force, adjusting his collar.

Zamiel who was pushed away, was lost in thoughts, how did this demon know about his wife?

Suddenly, the past memories began to reappear. His life as a human began to embrace him. His wife, his father-in-law. Their unnatural death!

"Beings destined to perform great deeds always are expected to be tested, Zamiel! Your wife, will have to go through it again if she ever goes for a rebirth. Only the success through her sufferings will make her live!!" Grandma Jade's words from the past, echoed.

Is Amara going through the same again as she took a rebirth?

Does that mean....this man was...her suffering?!

"What did you do to my wife??" Zamiel almost yelled, his eyes turning into golden yellow again.

Damien shrugged, "Oh, did I?" a laugh escaping him again.

Zamiel's was annoyed. Yet, he was now sure, that whatever happened in the past, was related with this man.

What wrong did his father-in-law do?

What wrong did Amara's parents do?

"However, I am amused, how did a human become an immortal?!" Damien laughed!

Zamiel smiled through pain, "You have commited a sin by taking control of two souls, less alone prisoning them for two years, going against the rules of Zyanya."

"And as the master of Zyanya, I'll make sure to punish you!!!" Zamiel warned, summoning his sword which burned with fire.

Damien was taken aback to hear it, master of Zyanya?!

Damien was quick enough to summon his sword as well, "No wonder you saved them!!"

Raising his sword, Zamiel fixed his gaze on Damien. 'What did you do to Heaven?' he demanded, his voice edged with finality.

"Something that she deserves!!"Damien yelled.

Zamiel couldn't control his anger anymore and the self-restraint vanished, him discharging at the demon in attack. And Damien as well was ready to attack back rather dodging.

And the fight began.

"I was ....waiting for this day...." Zamiel said in between, panting, "I will know the truth today!!"

Damien dodging and attacking the immortal, however felt his power diminishing with every passing second. He was yet to recover from the past wounds, and the immortal was fighting intensively, he feared he could not drag it for long.

"Tell me! What happened to my wife??" Zamiel asked, piercing the demon's skin, his sword dipped with the demon's blood.

Damien hissed, realising his wounds aren't healing anyway sooner. If this continued, he will lose. He needed to escape.

However, halting the demon's thoughts, Zamiel placed his sword against his neck, ready to slit his throat. "Are you targeting Amara cause of the past?!"

Damien didn't answer, and just kept looking at him.

Both feeling out of breath by the intense fight.

"If it is, she doesn't even know you!! Leave her alone!!"

"Nah, I'll die just to see her suffer more and more." Damien admitted with an evil smile.

Zamiel pressed the sword in, "Before even that, I'll just kill you!!"

Damien hissed at the slight cut, "You want to know what happened right? Let me tell you all of it then!!" He stepped closer not minding the sword, "It was me!!"

Zamiel held back his tears which held a blend of his anger, helplessness and rage at the demon's admission, his fury forcing him to put pressure on the cut.

Damien didn't mind the pain, stepping even closer, there was more to the future, he smiled thinking. "Your wife and her father, yes, it was me!!" His smile widening at the admission.

Zamiel execersised all of his life's patience for this one moment perhaps, as he held back the urge to just kill him right away. He is yet to know the complete truth, "Why...did you do that?!" He asked with clenched teeth.

Damien smiled, "Why don't you ask her yourself?" He laughed, "Oh, she forgot?! Too bad that she did! How could she??"

"Does that mean....she forgot even her husband?" His evil laugh echoed in the silent forest!

Zamiel who couldn't hold back himself anymore went away just to finish his story all for once and just then, Damien held his sword firmly, pushing it away gently.

Zamiel watched him holding his hand as he leaned in, whispering in his ear.

"I was just entertaining myself till now, the original play still awaits! Let her remember first?" He giggled evil. "Until then, wait for me!!" He whispered low before just vanishing into thin air.

Leaving a frustrated Zamiel behind, who stood in silence of his melancholic heart, in the vastness of the forest.

Him suddenly finding himself weak even to stand, fell down on his knees.

Zamiel, after an eternity of waiting, finally got to acknowledge the culprit!!

The one behind his misery!!

And .....he let him go?
