Humans’ Limits 0296- Eyes

In the silence that descended, Lucas' footsteps stopped. He didn't recognize the male voice which was already out of the teenage years, but he felt the flicker of electric magnetism at the back. It was an aura he didn't recognize, one he didn't know about, but one he could associate with someone who might very well call him "dad".

The wind resumed as his jacket moved with the wind, dancing behind him. Hannah stopped by his side, hesitation coloring her face as she looked between him and the owner of the presence he was feeling.

He didn't speak. His eyes were calm but his smile faded away. And it seemed that his decision not to turn back had sent a message which made a bitter and despondent chuckle full of pain resound from behind.
