Erick looked at the rising aircraft, his expression somber. With his heart feeling desolate under the cover of the dark venom it was dripping, he ignored the footsteps approaching him.
They were not stable like those of evolvers, weak and without any firmness. It came to a stop beside him, less than half a step behind. But he still didn't care, his eyes on the aircraft that sped and disappeared, leaving an empty sky for him to look at.
"I was there the day you were born."
Erick's eyes flickered, but his somber expression didn't change, nor did he turn to look at the male beside him. But the man didn't care, certain that his words were being focused on. So he continued:
