Chapter 115: Second Course

Lunas zoom past me one after the other, and I don't have to be a genius to realize I'm already in last place.

I shake my head and force myself up, but my head burns.

I push past the pain and the dirt.

All the while thinking back to what just happened, that b*tch pushed me.

I keep my gaze steady on her, and I find she along with other Lunas, are already ascending the wall, flag in hand.

Flag in hand...

I'd actually forgotten about the flags, the same ones with our numbers written on them.

The announcer said we had to collect each flag for each obstacle we completed.

Failure to finish with all flags means disqualification from The Clawing.

I run these rules through my head, trying to ignore and or not think about what that golden hair did to me.

Who the hell is she anyway? And what did I do to her?

It doesn't matter, she's going to pay.

The plastic balls come for me and I dodge each, without even thinking.
