Was the show them fun?

Thump! Thump!

Sarah tried her best to focus but the drumming of fast hearts made it very difficult for her. It was not just others, even her heart pounded faster as if following the beat of a drum. On one hand, Captain Arlen was fighting with a man who can cause spontaneous combustion and on the other hand, her teammates were planning to jump down from the seventh floor.

Draco stood at the edge of the half-torn elevator door and peered down.

"Just fucking run down, Draco." Ravi said frustrated by the toe-in, toe-out approach of his teammate.

Sarah looked at him confused, "How can he run down the building?" She looked at Ravi, his heartbeat was calm. Thump! Thump! Too calm. She narrowed her eyes as she looked at this lazy officer again.

"He can run vertically, not just horizontally," Ravi answered absentmindedly. By manipulating the coefficient friction between the shoes and the building surface, his rapid speed would allow him to eliminate the force that would normally prevent a normal person from running vertically. He did not want to still fixate on this topic, his entire focus was on the blonde man who was steadily leading the huge man away from the hospital.

Probably to minimize causality. So far, there had not been a single bomb thrown at the hospital. How righteous. He scoffed but his attention could not help but be focused on the man in the air.

He was wearing the same boots that the huge man was wearing, the otherworldly energy seemed to be able to grant the user the ability to fly.

Arlen was surrounded by a bright silver light and every time he raised his hand, a lightning bolt appeared, rushing towards the man. The man was extremely prepared this time and he pressed a button on his wristwatch, a sphere-like barrier protected the man, deflecting the lightning.

"Haha! Do you think that we came here empty-handed? This barrier can hold against you for more than thirty minutes. Haha!"

Arlen did not frown even as his attacks were taunted over and over, "But you do not have Thirty minutes." He touched the police radio and ordered, "Officer Brown, run down and send the suspect to the police station. Officer Johnson and Officer Adams, head into the building and make sure that the staff are patient and are not affected. Tell them to stay away from the windows. Control the situation, do not let them evacuate, they should remain in the building, it is safest there. Officer West, contact 110, tell them code Azure and give our location." As Ignitor spoke, he still threw lightning bolts down at the sphere barrier but the barrier was made of a brown scale-like material that made it incredibly strong.

His attempts made Ignitor to grin, they had not anticipated the strength of the police Captain. He gritted his teeth as he checked his time, the response time of the Hero Association was fifteen minutes. Their first plan had already failed, who knew that the crazy Cicada could tear apart a stopped elevator with her bare hands? He shuddered at that thought.

Mad woman.

He looked down at the unconscious Alex Malley that they had been asked to pick. They could not lose him or it would be their head. Duplicator was occupied, Poison was occupied and he was trapped here.

They could only leave it to that brat. Sending the signal, the huge man watched as one of the police officers ran down the wall and picked up the hypnotist before speeding off. Ignitor sent the message to the brat again and then focused on the Police Captain who was staring down at him.

"Ignitor, you are under arrest for multiple charges of murder, kidnapping, assault, and being a public nuisance."

Ignitor looked at him in shock and started laughing, he, Ignitor, was under arrest. Can an ordinary police jail hold him?

Ravi moved back after making the call, the way that the responder had panicked when he said Azure made him curious. This band of villains was nothing special so why did they have a code?

He touched a stone and the stone molded until it became a binocular, sitting on a chair in front of the vending machine and hidden practically by a car, he raised it to his eyes, watching the spectacle.

Arlen looked so serious. His handsome face carried a hint of killing intent that made him more mesmerizing to watch. He touched his chest, scratching at his clothes. Why was his heart suddenly beating faster?

That was not the important point. What was he going to do now? Ravi was curious, there were many ways to defeat someone who had the ability to cause spontaneous combustion upon tactile touch but when the opponent had the power to control thunder and lightning, Ravi had one solution. Brute force.

He had traveled a lot of realms and Thunder is still one of the most violent abilities that he had ever seen.

Rumble! Rumble!

Dark clouds suddenly covered the sky and thunder rumbled in all directions. Ignitor almost retreated when he remembered that he was in the leader's sphere and stopped.

The lightning bolt struck down but before it could touch the barrier, Arlen caught it.

Ravi raised an eyebrow.

Another lightning bolt, Arlen caught it, and another and another.

"Are you…" Before Ignitor could finish the question, Arlen moved closer to the barrier. The gathered lightning was as small as a pebble but it sent shivers down Ignitor's spine. "Wait…"

Arlen had no regard for this kind of scum that would bring a fight to the hospital, he smashed the pebble into the barrier.

Boom!

The scale-like barrier that had held against a lot of heroes shattered, sending Ignitor to the ground in a sorry state. His clothes were disheveled and blood flowed from the corner of his mouth

Ravi stood up from his seat, clapping, he had not even thought about that.

Arlen did not hear his clapping or he would have received a lecture. He landed on the ground and stretched forth his hand, gusts of wind that were piercingly cold like eyed whistled past him, bringing the Ignitor closer to him. He caught his shoulders, slamming him against a car as he turned him back to handcuff him.

Seeing that black handcuff from the Heroes Association, Ignitor's entire body shivered as he struggled against his binds. Ignitor touched a stone, his eyes widening as the stones were unable to ignite, his whole body was chilly and he felt dizzy.

"Ignitor, you are under arrest, You have a right to remain silent as everything you say would be used against you in the court of law."

"You piece of shit. Who the hell are you!"

Ravi walked forward, the picture of a good police officer. "Captain…"

"Was the show fun? You were even clapping."

Ravi's throat went instantly dry. He raised his left hand to his mouth and coughed while thinking of what to say, "I…"

"You are always blunt, you always know what to say. Officer West, if you do not say anything, your overtime wage will be canceled." Arlen chuckled, looking at the officer who looked like a kitten whose food had been snatched.

25 dollars an hour. It has been 2 hours which sums the money to 50 dollars. That is at least food for a week. This wicked Captain.

Suddenly his eyes flashed and he held Arlen, turning him around and protecting him behind him. Sharp pain soon filled his body as the bullet pierced through his shoulder.
