Chapter 91

******

'You lot have been quite the bother to me, I would be more than happy to get rid of you in one go.'

"Yes." Layla said.

"Then you can all start packing your luggage, you are now officially fired. Carriages will pick you up in three hours and take you away, ensure you don't leave anything," Leon said with a smile on his face.

"What?!" Layla said in a stutter.

"Did you think you could all possibly threaten me. I expect you to leave as soon as possible too, or I will have you all evicted from the academy's grounds." Leon said.

"But you can't fire us like that." One of them said.

"I can't because you all resigned yourselves the moment you hatched that scheme, now stop wasting my time and leave my office right now." Leon said.

They stood there in a daze not yet accepting that they had just lost their jobs.

"Are you all deaf now. Get out." Leon roared, and they scrambled out.

Leon began to write a letter on his desk, he called a guard from behind the door and sent it.

Meanwhile out of the administrative building, Layla and her accomplices were in a heated discussion.

"Now look at what you have gotten us into." One of them said.

"We were all in this together, you van not put the blame all on me, you all agreed to this." Layla said.

"Still, it was all your idea." Another said.

"Then how about we fix it, I have an idea." Layla said.

"I am not getting into deeper problems because of you." Another said as she walked away.

"Listen to what I have to say at least." Layla said to the remaining mages.

"Spit it out then." ONE of the remaining said.

"I have friends in high places, they will help us get into the towers. What do you think."

"I find that appealing, but what is there for you." One of them said.

"Well, it would be such a shame if we all got our names dragged through the mud and leave the academy unscathed."

"So, what you want us to do, is to bring down the academy."

"Well, I would be lying if I denied that claim, so who is with me." Layla asked.

Meanwhile Penelope had just gotten letters from the principal.

To Penelope it read: 'Some professors have resigned from the academy, I am leaving for some time to deal with this, please take over the third years as their professor is no longer with us. Assign guards to help them leave the academy and if within the hour you can forcefully eject them under my authorization.'

As Leon was writing this letter, Aldin and Isabella were looking at him as he wrote to them.

When he sent them Isabella finally spoke up.

"Is it really alright for you to do that sir?" Isabella asked. In her mind she believed she was causing the principal a lot of trouble with her presence.

"Don't worry yourself, I have been wanting to get rid of them for a long time and you provided me the means to do so."

"You don't have to be nice, I know very well how much I am a nuisance to you." Isabella said.

"You are far from the truth. Magic embraces all, darkness is not a curse but rather a part of magic itself. And this will serve them right, they failed to commit to their responsibility by ignoring your needs. I hope you can forgive me as well for letting you suffer under my rule." Leon said, truly sorrowed by these events.

"No need sir, I should be thanking you for all you have done for me right now." Isabella said.

"Then we can call it even. And excuse me, there is some other place I have to be right now. You can head over with Aldin, stay with him until I come back, a room will be prepared for you by the end of the day so go make yourself at home." Leon said.

Aldin and Isabella walked out and headed to the mansion. As they approached it, they met with Darvin who was headed back to his class.

"Sorry I was late with something I had to deal." Aldin said to Darvin no problem.

"IT's no problem, but what problem did you stir today." Darvin asked.

"I didn't cause any problems, this time." Aldin said pouting.

"Then what happened?" Darvin asked,

"I won't tell, you'll find out for yourself." Aldin said.

Darvin looked to Isabella for a hint, but she too ignored him and feigned ignorance.

"Well, if that's what you say, it better not have anything to do with you then." Darvin said.

Aldin immediately began walking and Isabella followed behind him. Aldin went to his class. When he got there the professor was not there. Which was a relief for Darvin. Earl, the round and blonde professor was a nuisance to him, always reminding Darvin of his position, bragging and always berating him about seniority.

Penelope walked in a few minutes later.

"Darvin, it seems you will have to take over the class." She said to Darvin.

"Why is that so?" Darvin asked.

"Professor Earl will no longer be with us, another professor will soon be assigned here."

"What a relief." Darvin accidentally said. He realized too late what he had just said and was about to take back what he had just said.

"For you and me both, you should see the list of those who have been let down with him." Bloom said as she took out a list of five names.

Darvin looked thought the list, and as he read through them a smile unconsciously appeared on his face.

"What caused this?" Darvin said.

"Beats me, I got this from the principal just a few minutes ago." Bloom said.

'I have a few guesses.' Darvin thought to himself.

"Okay, thank you for letting me now, I can handle the class from here myself." Darvin said.
