Kai II

Lily "You named him what?!!!!" Pete said loudly as he stared at Lily in disbelief, he looks over at 935 who is busy fiddling around with a rubik's cube on the blue sofa in his office.

Lily sat calmly on the cheer opposite Pete with a document in hand, she read through the document carefully, ignoring the doctors outburst.

Pete relaxed a bit on his chair and looked at Lily, "You can't be serious Lily" Pete said.

"I am," she said without looking at him "Everything seems about right here, now add his name and as for date of birth... hmmm" She looked up in thought.

"You want to name that child you just met 2 days ago by the side of the road after your-" Pete began but Lily was quick to cut him off.

"Kai Seong" Lily said as she looked at Pete, she gave him a cold stir that sent shiver's down his spine "Lovely don't you think?" she asked with a raised brow.

Pete swallowed hard as he looked at her, "Please rethink this Lily" he pleaded and she sighed as she leaned on the table.

"He's dead Peter" Lily said with a straight face "And besides if Kai bears his name it'll be more believable that he had a son at least, besides their skin colour matches right?" Lily let out nonchalantly.

Pete stared at her and thought for a while before he spoke "Do you miss him that much?" Lily's next move took Pete by surprised. She was quick, she stood up, leaned and reached for him. The first thing her hand could grab was his tie. She pulled him forward with his tie making him lean against the table.

"Peter" she whispered softly in his ears "Don't push the friendship we have" her words caused him a tremble a bit, "Finish off the paperwork so my son and i can be on our merry way, got it?" she asked but her tone gave off more of an order than a request.

Peter nodded his head repeatedly in response, Lily let go of his tie and sat down like she did absolutely nothing. She gave him a bright smile as he resumed his seat.

With shaky hands Peter began to type on his desktop "D-date of b-birth?" he stuttered out.

"Hmmm, let me think" Lily said with a hand on her chin, she turned to see 935 staring at them with a solved rubik's cube in his hand. "How about 19th May?" Lily suggested and faced Pete.

Pete fiddled with the keyboards a bit before he faced her, "You can wait outside, just give me a couple of minutes to finish this" He said and she nodded in response before she got up and walked over to 935.

"Come Kai, let's wait outside" she said with a hand placed on his shoulder. Peter watched as Lily walked out with 935.

Outside the office 935 turned to face Lily and asked "Did you threaten him?"

Lily smiled and asked "What makes you think that?" she looked around her "I just put a little pressure on him 'because he didn't wanna listen." she added.

Lily could tell from the look on 935's face that he didn't believe anything she just told him. Lily sighed and said "I did it for a good reason okay, can you stop judging me with those tiny green eyes of yours" she said as she reached down and pinched his cheeks.

935 and Lily sat on a chair outside Pete's office, Lily watched as 935 scattered and pieced back the puzzle cube repeatedly. Seconds turned to minutes, and minutes to hours. Nurses went in and out of Pete's office yet they didn't hear from the doctor.

Lily sat quietly, dozing off as she tried to keep her eyes open. She hung thinly between the line of sleeping off or staying awake, 935 on the other hand was far too engrossed in his cube to notice. A nurse walked out of Pete's office. The moment Lily felt her presence she immediately starightened herself.

With a smile the nurse greeted them and informed them that the doctor was ready. Lily went in together with 935 to see Peter, after Peter gave her some papers and they had a little talk she left the hospital with 935.

They got into her car and zoomed off. "Its so late" Lily groaned as she drove "I should still ahve somethings back at the house to cook us up dinner to eat this night?" she thought to herself out loud.

"Will we have milkshakes for dinner?" 935 asked as he looked out the window.

Lily looked at him from the side, "That is not possible dear. Plus its too cold to be taking milkshakes don't you think?" she asked as she continued "I only got them for you as a treat because i thought you'd like them" she added.

When she didn't get a reply from him she continued "Also, i don't want you catching a cold."

935 sat on the seat and looked at her, "What cold are you talking about and how can i catch it? Is it something that is gotten from a milkshake?" 935 watched Lily facepalm herself.

Lily began to explain what a cold is, and why she said he could get one if he took another milkshake. 935 listened quietly and attentively as she spoke. Along the way Lily stopped when she saw a huge tree blocking their path.

She informed 935 that they couldn't go back to her place that night cause of the tree in their path, so she turned the car around and looked for the nearest hotel so they could spend the night there.

Lily found them a nice little motel and they checked into a single bedroom. Since most of the diner's in the area was closed already due to the time, Lily used the opportunity to teach 935 how a vending machine worked.

After getting some snack from the hotel vending machine they got back into their rooms to eat and rest for the next day. Lily gave 935 a canned soft drink, he was surprised by the sound it made when she opened it at first, but she assured him he had nothing to worry about.

He took a gulp of his soft drink and next came a loud burp, Lily chuckled before she downed her's. 935 told her that he preferred the milkshake to the soft drink cause it was not fizzy and didn't make him pass out gas, which was understandable to her.

They chatted about food for a while before Lily declared it bed time and proceeded to tuck him into the bed while she lay on the couch.

"She seems nice" 935 heard Entity's voice echo in his head he turned over and nodded.

"I am learning a lot too" 935 replied "She even gave me a name"

"I heard" Entity replied dryly "Get some sleep" Entity said.

"Okay, i'd give you a name tomorrow then" Kai whispered as he drifted to sleep.

"Sure, wait what?!" Entity exclaimed at the realization of what 935 had said, but 935 had already slept off for him to question.

The night went by quietly, as Lily slept she suddenly heard the sound of someone groaning and sobbing, she opened her eye and sat up to see 935 tossing and turning on the bed.

She made her way towards him quietly, she noticed signs of tears that streamed down his face, "Stop... don't... let go" She heard him whisper in his state of unconsciousness.

She slipped into the bed and wrapped her arms around him, she used one of her hands to gently stroke his back. 935 seemed to relax a bit as he eased into her embrace. His clothes were drenched in his own sweat but she didn't mind as she comforted him.
