935 woke up to find himself wrapped in Lily arms, he looked up to see her fast asleep as she held him tightly. He moved around a bit trying to free himself but ended up waking her.
Lily let go of him and stretched a bit "Good morning mini warrior" she said lazily with a yawn. 935 sat up on the bed while Lily crawled out of the bed and headed to the washroom.
They had their breakfast before they got into Lily's car and she began the journey to her house. The drive didn't take long. After a couple of minutes Lily pulled over and parked in front of an old looking house. Her car looked odd in front of the house, making it stand out.
Lily and 935 entered the house and Lily showed him around. The house was quiet, Lily showed him to the room he'd sleep in, the bed was slightly bigger than the one he had in the lab. The walls had more colour on them than his former room as well. Even Desmond's room had more colour than the room they kept him in, in the lab, but this one felt more warm.
He could have sworn the walls were dirty if not Lily had assured him that it was just the wallpaper they came with. Lily explained their living situation to him.
She informed him that she'd be going out regularly because of her work, and then she proceeded to tell him what a work and job is due to his confused facial expressions as she spoke.
She showed him how something worked around in the house and warned him against holding sharp weapons or things that could hurt him.
935 asked what he'd be up to when she was not around and she told him he'd be going to school, when asked what school was, Lily explained in detail what it was, why it was what it was and why he'd be going there when she wasn't around.
"Why can't i stay here though?" 935 blurted out as he didn't like the idea of being surrounded by strangers in a room that Lily mentioned was a classroom. "I can have a classroom here can't, I?" he inquired.
Lily looked at him and smiled as she arranged his clothes in his wardrobe "No you cannot my mini warrior, you need to develop social skill and interact with people your age so you can learn things." she replied as she folded his underwear and stuffed it in a cupboard.
935 raised and eyebrow and asked "What are social skills?" The moment Lily heard that she sighed and smacked her face.
"Social skills are what you learn in school," Lily began and explained it to him perfectly.
"Why can't you teach me?" 935 asked as he looked at the floor "You seem so good at it anyway" he mumbled.
Lily paused for a second before she walked up to him and knelt before him "Kai" she called out but he didn't respond for a while, he slowly rose his head and looked at her. "Kai" she said again "I can't teach you everything" she said ass he reached out and held his arms "You can't stay cooped up in this house while i'm gone got it?" she asked "I want you to go out, meet new people and had fun" she added with a smile.
"Lily..." 935 said softly as he looked at her, he could see his reflection in her eyes.
"Hmm?" she responded.
"What is fun?" 935 asked, 935 watched as she smiled widely before she hugged him. "Oh my sweet sweet mini warrior" he heard her say as she hugged him.
Lily and 935 spoke as they organised his things, 935 asked a lot of questions and Lily tried her best to answer them as much as possible, she even went further to tell him that all what he asked can be learnt in school as a way of convincing him.
When they were done sorting out his things, he and Lily went for a short walk around the snowy neighbourhood. Lily showed him the school she had in mind for him to go to. It wasn't quite far from the house they stayed in.
Lily got him enrolled in after the paid the school a visit during the school hours. As they walked around the school 935 noticed how they all stared at him, he used his scarf to conceal his face and kept his head low as he walked with Lily.
After the paperwork Lily and 935 walked back to the house and got into the car, she had told him she wanted to pick something up from town and he suggested he'd follow her. She thought that he wanted to spend time with her, but on the contrary 935 suggested so because he knew that being alone would make him an easier target if they came looking for him.
They spent a while in town and came back when the sun was about to set. 935 helped Lily carry some of the things she bought into the house.
Lily made dinner and they ate quietly. After dinner Lily took 935 to his room, tucked him in and turned the lights off. The house fell silent as the night crept in and they slept comfortably on their beds.
935 slept in his room, the only source of light was the light of the moon that slipped in through his bedside window.
"Demon!!" 935 heard in his heard as he tossed and turned in his sleep. "Murderer... Beast" he began to hear voices around him, accompanied by the sound of gunshots. Beads of sweat formed on his forehead, he tossed on turned on the bed as he pulled the blanket that covered him.
"Kai..." he heard someone call out before a warm hand held him. 935 opened his eyes to see Lily sitting beside him, she turned on the lamp on the bedside table and looked at him.
His breathing was erratic as his eyes moved around the room frantically. She let him calm down before she spoke "Are you okay?" she asked as she noticed he tightened the grip on her arm.
He looked at her and nodded, he still looked a bit shaken as she replied her. She pat his head and said "Do you wanna talk about it?" she waited for his reply, but was discouraged when he shook his head.
She gave him a weak smile and a pat on his hand, "Get some sleep then" she said softly. 935 let go of her hand and laid back on the bed.
Lily waited for him to fall asleep fully before she left for her own room. In the morning, 935 woke up to the smell of eggs. He slowly crawled out of bed and headed for the kitchen.
On the dining where two plates of freshly fried eggs, with a couple slices of bread and a glass of milk.
"Morning" Lily said as she placed a glass of orange juice on the table. "Come eat" she added before she sat down.
935 made his way to the dining, It was a small table, with two chairs on opposite sides. The setting reminded him of the one at Desmond's house but with less food.
935 sat opposite her "Morning" he repeated after her, he watched as she ate her food, she placed the egg in the between two slices of bread and took a bite of it. 935 mirrored her and ate his food.
Lily looked at him as he ate and smile "How's your wound healing up?" she asked before she downed the glass of milk.
935 looked at her and said "I think you can unwrap me now" Lily looked at him for a while before she responded.
"You sure? Cause you looked pretty beaten up"
935 kept quiet for a while before he said "The wraps make me look... weird, i'll just cover the wounded part" he answered and continued eating.
"Do you need help?" Lily asked and he shook his head.
They finished their meal, 935 headed to the bathroom to wash up while Lily cleared the plates. After 935 was done with the bathroom, he hurried to his room to tend to his wounds while Lily freshened up.
As she prayed perfume on her clothes she suddenly heard a thud from his room she rushed over to his room to see...
