Harper was making an ambitiously expansive game, a new type of game with more options than the basic hack-and-slash, where exploration and cleverness were a legitimate course of action, not an extra-hard mode. But he died before he could complete his project. Only to be reborn in that world, as a normal person. Now he is in the world that he created and realizes that he knows things no one else knows, secrets only he knows. Harper sets off to find some of these secrets, wanting to make sure that he has the power to ensure that his world remains pure, that no one will have the power to ruin it like other games. And if the only way to do that is for him to get himself enough magic and mystical artifacts that he can determine the future of the world, then so be it. It wouldn’t be conquest if it was for a good cause. Right?

My shoulder is nicely healed by the time we find the others and make camp, maybe five hours later. You dont heal this quickly outside of a dungeon, but something about the air in here makes you regenerate, albeit very slowly. I know its possible to get more active regeneration, and Im planning to try at some point, but for right now, Im okay with one point coming back every ten minutes or so.


We run into the group near the edge of the forest, not far from the tower. As I thought, it is a big tower. Theres probably more space inside that tower than there was on the entire first floor of the dungeon. 


From the look of them, the goon squad had a bit more difficulty on this level than they had on the first level, but not by much. A few dents and dings, some splashes of blood on armor, a chip in a weapon blade, that kind of thing. Nothing all that concerning.
