Shui Yue's body obviously stiffened, with a light exclamation, she subconsciously slapped Qi Yue's shoulder.

Despite being acquainted with Nana for a while, Qi Yue always lacked the courage to make bold moves. Such an intimate action was also his first, whether Shui Yue was shocked or not, he himself was astonished.

As Bai Yu's dainty hand landed on Qi Yue's shoulder, Qi Yue felt a wave of heat surge up instantaneously from his shoulder. His body, unable to resist the brunt, fell back onto the bed, and coincided with Shui Yue's cry, she fell right onto him.

"You…" Shui Yue was about to chide furiously when she suddenly noticed something was off with Qi Yue. At that moment, just revived Qi Yue plunged back into unconsciousness. His face flushed red, and a faint warmth seeped out from his body.

"Ah! This is not good." Shui Yue finally recalled that she had, in her embarrassment and haste, executed her family's secret technique, Overlapping Hand of Light. Even though her power was not particularly strong and Overlapping Hand of Light was not an extremely domineering technique, it was nonetheless too hard for Qi Yue, who was devoid of any martial arts foundation. His wholeness radiated a gradually increasing fever while in his unconscious state.

The Overlapping Hand of Light was a type of Internal Family Kung Fu, her family's closely-guarded secret. It was primarily used for medicinal purposes, however, the Overlapping Hand of Light carries a significant attack force, which can be used for self-defence too. Had she not been the only daughter of her generation, she would not have been allowed to inherit it. Since she was a young girl, Shui Yue started practicing and after more than a decade, her Internal Family Kung Fu had made some decent progress. Qi Yue had always wondered why such a youthful and beautiful girl like her would travel all the way to Tibet alone? Little did he know, this innocent-looking girl was already skilled enough to be considered a master.

No sooner had Shui Yue observed Qi Yue's condition than her heart raced, but she was trained in traditional medicine by her father since childhood and was calm in crisis. She hurriedly removed Qi Yue's shirt. At this point, Shui Yue's strength came to the fore, making it a breeze to take off Qi Yue's blue shirt already soaked in sweat.

Qi Yue's skin was a healthy bronze. He had no extra body fat, and the muscles were not highlighted, making him seemingly frail. Looking at Qi Yue's pulse, he seemed to be slightly malnourished. Now, his right shoulder was red and swollen, and a faint heat wave gradually emerged from his bronze skin.

Shui Yue took a deep breath. This was her first encounter with someone injured by her family's Overlapping Hand of Light. She was quite familiar with its attack potency. Although previously in her haste, she had only exerted 30% of her strength, that was enough to be lethal. When Overlapping Hand of Light is used for self-defense, its deadliest part is its fierce Yang energy. Fortunately, Shui Yue is a woman, innately belonging to Yin, her Overlapping Hand of Light carries a trace of Yin's gentleness. The manifestation was not instantaneous, otherwise, the palm strike would have taken half of Qi Yue's life.

Shui Yue's body levitated as if weightless with just a tap on the ground, she arrived at the door. She glanced outside, then quickly locked the door. After all, being alone in a room with a man whom she had just removed his shirt from, she absolutely did not want others to see it.

Fighting the embarrassment within, Shui Yue took out a fabric package from her body. As the package unfolded, it contained various silver needles. She needed to help Qi Yue disperse the Yang energy invading his body in order to save his life.

Picking up a medium-sized silver needle, Shui Yue was about to prick it down when suddenly, she saw a bizarre sight. On the left chest of Qi Yue, a faint pattern appeared. It was a creature with a head resembling a deer but not entirely, and neither was it a horse. The pattern was black, with a beautiful single horn extending from Qi Yue's heart area to his collarbone. The creature's head drooped slightly as the pattern became clearer. It could be seen that the single horn on the head of the creature had a fine spiral shape. The creature had shiny silver fur from its head to its neck, looking incredibly majestic against its black head.

Initially, only the creature's head appeared. However, the black body quickly spread downward. The entire body was completely black, while the pattern continued to spread to Qi Yue's back except for its head and front limbs.

What is this? Is it a tattoo? How can there be such a perfect tattoo?

Out of curiosity, Shui Yue carefully turned Qi Yue's body over, and she was shocked by the sight. Most of Qi Yue's back had turned black, completely resembling a strange beast. The beast was covered in vivid silver fur from head to tail. The black and silver intertwined single horn looked more majestic than ever. Beneath the black beast, there were four clouds which gave off a dreamy feel. Among the faint silver color, there seemed to be other colors mixed in, but no matter how hard Shui Yue tried, she couldn't make out what they were. The entire beast covered over two-thirds of Qi Yue's back.

Stunned, Shui Yue pondered, could this be an invisible tattoo? Her father once mentioned that a tattoo done with a mixture of pigeon blood and herbs wouldn't be visible under normal circumstances and would only appear when one's blood and Qi were stirred. However, pigeon blood doesn't seem to produce a black color for a tattoo and silver has never been heard of in tattoo art. What a large, intricate tattoo it was! A tremendous amount of pain and effort must have been endured to accomplish it!

Although she felt confused, Shui Yue quickly understood. She had initially been skeptical when Qi Yue claimed to be a researcher of body art. Although she isn't well traveled, she did have her guard up. Thus, after a brief conversation, she decided to ignore Qi Yue's claims. Her care for Qi Yue was purely out of her duty as a doctor and had nothing to do with any fondness for him.

However, after seeing this unique tattoo and recalling Qi Yue's words, Shui Yue felt embarrassed. She thought to herself, it seemed she had wrongly judged him. Perhaps only people involved in body art could create such a perfect tattoo. Little did she know the one who should truly feel embarrassed was Qi Yue. His so-called body art was just a ploy to entice innocent young women like her. Yet he had no clue that his target wasn't as approachable as he thought until he fainted again.

More bizarre things happened. When Shui Yue turned Qi Yue's body over again, intending to help him alleviate the harm caused by the Overlapping Hand of Light, she amazingly saw that a faint red glow appeared on the mixed silver and black horn of the beast. Its left front hoof and half of its body along with the head were on the front of Qi Yue. His swollen right shoulder was gradually reducing in size and his rapid breaths were gradually stabilizing. Only the swelling in his lower body was still there.

The flush on his skin due to the rise in temperature was also gradually fading. Shui Yue, puzzled, put a hand on Qi Yue's pulse to investigate and found that the Yang energy previously triggered by her Overlapping Hand of Light technique in Qi Yue's body was gradually dissipating. Or, more precisely, it seemed as if Qi Yue's body had absorbed the Yang energy emitted by the Overlapping Hand of Light.

Shui Yue encountered this situation for the first time. She didn't notice that Qi Yue's body had entered a unique state. Although his face showed some pain, his skin seemed to become more elastic. His complexion was no longer flush but a healthy rosy color. The black beast symbol on his body was gradually disappearing, his spirit was stabilizing, and his breaths became extraordinarily even. There was no pause even in between breaths. It seemed that he had entered a strange world. However, all these changes were so subtle that one might overlook them even if they looked intentionally.
