Chapter 13 Disgust Written All Over the Face_1

Not a word, not even half a word.

He didn't even want to see this woman his mother had forced upon him.

Wyatt Perry's disdain for Claudia Ross was written all over his face.

Claudia Ross couldn't help but notice.

Ha, wasn't that her asking for humiliation?

Knowing it would be this way, why did she insist on hurting herself?

Claudia Ross sniffled and said with a bitter smile, "But I have, I have so much I want to say to you. Wyatt Perry, I've been married to you for three years, and we've spoken so few times that I could count them on my fingers. These past few days, I've spoken to you more than I have in the entire three years combined, but it's always been arguments. I don't want to fight with you. Can we sit down and have a calm conversation?"

Wyatt Perry didn't stop, leaving with steady strides.

Claudia Ross bowed her head and rubbed away the tears at the corner of her eyes.

Rushing to lawyer Bai's desk, she grabbed a pen and signed her name on the divorce agreement, each stroke forceful enough to go through the paper.

"Can I leave now?"

"Yes, yes, Madam, have a safe trip!" With the task assigned by the boss completed, lawyer Bai no longer troubled Claudia Ross and happily saw her off.

The reporters and paparazzi stationed at the door had already been driven away by Wyatt Perry's men.

Claudia Ross walked out of the law office, angrily tore up the divorce agreement she had written, and threw it into the trash can.

Across the street, Wyatt Perry sat inside the Rolls-Royce Phantom, watching Claudia Ross through the glass window.

Even Jayden Maguire couldn't watch any longer, "Wyatt, isn't this too cruel? She's just a naive young girl."

It was precisely because she was a young girl that he had to cut the Gordian knot even more swiftly. It's not like he was going to wait till she was old and faded to get a divorce!

For Claudia Ross, that would be true cruelty.

Wyatt Perry said hauntingly, "She'll thank me later!"

"She'll only hate you."

Jayden Maguire scoffed disdainfully.

He hated seeing Wyatt Perry's sanctimonious face the most, it made him feel sleazy.

"Hailey Jack." Jayden Maguire's curiosity was piqued, "Go, find what she threw in the trash can. Let's see what's so sad. Could it be a love letter from Wyatt?"

Before he could finish speaking, Wyatt Perry shot him a cold glance.

...

After finishing the meeting, Wyatt Perry found a divorce agreement on his desk, pieced together with transparent tape, hand-written with neat, elegant strokes, fresh and clean.

His brows arched with interest as he picked it up.

After reading the divorce agreement, he stared intently at the date at the end.

It was the day before Katie Poole came back, which meant Claudia Ross had wanted to divorce him much earlier.

Was her insistence on not divorcing just to play him?

Wyatt Perry opened the drawer and placed Claudia Ross's hand-written divorce agreement inside.

He picked up his phone and dialed lawyer Bai's number, "Double the alimony."

...

Claudia Ross walked down the street, lost and disoriented.

It wasn't until the evening that she called her best friend, Nana Monty, "Girl, come out and have a drink with me, Global Time Bar!"

Nana Monty had called Claudia Ross countless times without an answer, and she was already as anxious as an ant on a hot pan.

In less than half an hour, she was there in front of Claudia Ross.

"Ross, don't be sad. Frogs with two legs are hard to find, but men with two legs are everywhere. You are so beautiful, and you will find a man who truly loves you very soon."

As soon as they met, Nana Monty hugged Claudia Ross tightly, soothing her with patience.
