Chapter 22: Questioning Humanity

"I've never made wings before," Junie said from her spot on the floor. She was dragging a super sharp crafting knife along the lines in the cardboard she had drawn in the shape of a wing.

Kian was sitting at her dining table, diligently cutting scraps of faux leather that they were going to use to make belts and other accessories.

She looked up when he didn't answer and raised an eyebrow at the incredulous look he was giving her. "What?"

"Sorry," he said, though he didn't sound at all apologetic. He smirked. "I was just in shock because I was certain that you could literally make anything."

Junie blushed when she realized that he was serious. She set her knife down. "I can't make anything," she said modestly.

"Uh-huh," he muttered doubtfully. "I watched your recent video of the cloaks you made. You're probably the only cosplayer to embroider that much by hand! And somehow make it look extremely neat and polished."
